Glad to hear your mosaic is good as that is what i have got too.

Mam breast pump - got one new of freecycle today that someone had won and didn't need. They could have sold it on ebay really so my faith in human nature has been restored for today.

Really sick of going to the toilet now - decided next wednesday would be a good day for me to have baby!

Hi all.

Congrats Bun. Annabeth is completely gorgeous!

I've had my scan and everything is just great. Baby is progressing well and we got lots of pics. I am so relieved. I also remembered to ask for my Bounty pack and got that. We celebrated by going to Tescos and buying a half-price steriliser and bottles (just in case the breastfeeding doesn't go to plan).

I also won one of the MAM breastpumps and that arrived yesterday. :T

My mum is going to get my Bounty pack from Asda so I can get the £5 clothing voucher. I don't have an Asda near me. What will £5 get me - vests, sleepsuits?

I have a quick question if anyone can help i was going through my hospital bag today and just wondered what everyone else had packed in theirs, i dont want to forget anything and dont really have a proper list of what to pack, so just wondered what others had packed in theirs.

3KIDSNOMONEY- I cant believe you only have two weeks to go, i remember reading your first posts, it seems to go so quick when you are reading about other people, just wish it felt like that when its yourself.

Hope everyone is feeling well and labour vibes to those who need them.

Mazcabs

In my bag I packed 4 sleepsuits, 4 vests, a few bibs, a couple of baby hats,muslin cloths, TENS machine and extra batteries, nightshirt, pair pyjamas, nappies, cotton wool, baby wipes and some baby name books as we hadnt made up our mind plus a book for me to read when nothing was going on...

As I ended up having an emergency c section OH could bring any additional things I needed after that.

I must admit the books came in handy after the birth of DS as could only lay in bed.

Here's a list of what I've put in my bag

Baby Stuff
Three light cardigans
six cotton body suits
six sleep suits
newborn disposable nappies or 10 reuseable nappies
changing mat - just in case
cotton wool or wipes (whichever your using)
don't need barrier cream as you'll get some there from the packs
snow suit
nappy sacks (not sure about this one - might be useful)
muslins
bibs (!?)
hat and mitten set if the snowsuit doesn't have it for outdoors
car seat with blanket
cuddly toy

My Stuff
two sets of button pyjamas or easy open nighties
dressing gown
slippers
pair of warm socks
two nursing bras
two packs disposable pants
24 maternity towels
pack of breast pads
nipple cream
hair tie
books/magazines
camera
going home clothes - if different from what you wore there!
mobile phone
bach flower remedy - to calm your nerves
arnica - great homeopathic medicine to reduce bruising etc use during and after birth
flannel - for cooling off your forehead during labour
toothbrush + tooth paste
water spray - to cool you off too
lemon glucose tablets or breakfast bars to keep up your energy
music cd
cash
birthing ball - if the hosp doesn't have one
straws - for easy drinking during labour (I don't know if they supply them at hosp)
aromatherapy oils - some hosps you can use them
Energising oils are: mandarin, ginger and petit grain
Relaxing oils are: ylang ylang, neroli and lavender
make up remover - just incase your mascara didn't keep up with you!!!
make up bag - (!?)
De-oderant

I think that's about what I've got in my bag! xxx

What I've also done is written a list of things that still need to be packed and where they can be found (for OH just in case I can't get them) as I can't pack everything yet as I'm still using some things. It means that it will be quick and easy to know what's not packed when it comes time to go. I've stuck it on the fridge door (OH knows it's stuck there too) Very useful!

You have been really helpful I am going to re pack now i seem to have missed a few things off, i know OH can bring things in if i forget them just wanted to make sure i could get most things ready, think i under estimated the amount of grows i would need to take with me lol Midwife kept asking if i had packed my bag, but never said what to put in it, so its great to be able to see what others have packed in theirs.

Thanks Mandy. I got the info from about 4 different books and one parenting magazine. Each one had a really useful pointer about what to bring. I certainly hadn't thought about a warm pair of socks to wear during labour - apparently your feet can get chilly. I think only a woman who's been through birth can know about that one.

I've also just realised I forgot one other thing - aromatherapy oils. If you like that sort of stuff. I know that some places have a burner for you to use. Good energising oils are: mandarin, ginger and petit grain. Relaxing oils are: ylang ylang, neroli and lavender. I'll add it to the list. xxx

I've just added a few more things too: makeup remover, deoderant, bibs and make up bag. I think that's it this time!!!

I've also added at the end about writing a list of all the things that haven't been packed yet (also where they are so OH can get them if you're unable to) so that if you're in a rush to get to the hospital it makes it a lot easier to remember what hasn't been packed yet. xxx

Thanks miss_be all the info is great glad I have a list now what i had could have been packed in a carrier bag lol

People have been telling me what i need for when the baby arrives but no one mentioned what i would need in hospital, i just thought the midwife would give me a list, and the only other list i have is in a pregnancy book but it only has a few things listed. I didn't even think to take some socks.

How many bath towels are you taking? I was thinking two was just going to get some cheap black ones from asda so if needed i can throw them away afterwards.

Thats a good idea making a list for OH to make sure he knows where everything is, because if i dont no doubt he will only be asking me about ten times.
