My mother in Law had DH when she was 18 then his brother 10 years later. She pointed out that it was so much easier on your body when you're younger, so just tell the oldies to put it in their pipe & smoke it. There was a nice article on teenage mums in one of the mags last month with a girl in same situation as you, t was very sweet. And congratulations!
BTW it's illegal to sack someone because you're pregnant & the law is automatically on your side when it comes to this. I think you may have lost out on some money there. Direct.gov.uk is really useful for all kinds of maternity info, I would check it out if I were you. You may not want the stress but a tribunal would be on your side and you've been treated unfairly.

Hi girls,
Congratulations elle, she's so beautiful.
I have a question for Bun, but anyone else is free to answer too! Hope you dont mind me asking, but on the TTC thread I noticed that you had been taking basal temperature whilst TTC. You also mentioned that the BBT had gone up after ovulation when you were pregnant. Do you remember how many days after ovulation did this happen? On the cycles you weren't pregnant how many days before your period did the temperature drop? I know it varies for everyone but just wondering.... I'm just 3 days past ovulation. I have always been inpatient, but this waiting for a missed period is driving me crazy!! I'm trying to relax about it!!

have you been given an EDD yet? This may change at your 12 week scan & even your 20 week scan (unless you're 100% sure of when your dates are). That may help you, but I think they only officially change it if it's by 10 days or more (after all it's only an estimate).
Your length of service has nothing to do with when you sign a contract, rather it's from the first day you worked for your employer. I don't even think you legally have to sign one, as long as you are given your T&C of employment. Check out http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Parents/Moneyandworkentitlements/Parentalleaveandpay/DG_10029285
as it has a personalised helper which I found useful

Being a mummy to Natasha is the best thing that has ever happened to me and even though i had concerns about coping when she was born i couldnt of been more wrong - i have never felt so relaxed and calm for years. I feel as though i have fallen in love and have a purpose.

To everyone nearing the end, becoming tired or struggling with morning sickness - hang on in there!! I never thought i would get to the top of that list and remember being down in the 40's but everything is so worthwhile once you hold your tiny gorgeous innocent baby x

Choc, Dramatic is definatley the word for your little man's arrival, i hope you and baby are doing ok. I will PM you about hospital's soon!!

Ella,I'm so glad all went well with baby Natasha-she's lovely.Samantha06, like you I was 19 when I had my first and 34 now I'm having my 4th and I still find most staff patronising! It really makes no difference.When I was young,I felt as though people tried to bully me into their ways of thinking, as as 3 kids said ,now I stick up for myself as there is not alot I don't know now,lol!
Hang in there and remember It's your baby/pregancy and enjoy it all!

feel as though we have a lot in common traveller. i had my eldest at 19 and now at 30 am expecting number 4.

The results of my urine came back clear which i was really surprised at. In a way if would have liked to have had a urine infection as it would have explained the uncomfortable feelings down below - as it happens that is just baby and i will have to put up with it. Feel as though the end is nigh and getting a bit scared as i am due in under 4 weeks. Just hope he doesn't come during school hols as childcare is a bit of an issue. Definitely sleeping better though now i am not thinking about driving test/lessons. Although i do have to change sides regularly as i my thighs go a bit numb with all the extra weight.

Afternoon all

Think i posted in this thread when i first found out i was pregnant with number 3 and not since then, whoops!

Anyhow, number 3 was due yesterday (my dates) and due tomorrow by scan dates. Never been this pregnant before as my 1st arrived at 38 weeks and my second on his EDD! I'm expecting another big one (2nd was 10lb 3oz) and a scan 3.5 weeks ago estimated her as being 8lb 13oz! As a result i've got till Friday to let nature do its thing otherwise i have to have a c section, not overly keen on but as long as we're both ok thats the main thing.
