JOur beautiful Samantha arrived on Saturday night, at 2250 hours at home. She weighed 4.02kg, which I think is 9.6oz. We didn't manage to use the birthing pool, and there were sirens and paramedics, but all was fine and well in the end. I will fill you in more, when I have had a chance to recover.

excuse me?? you did what now???
pushing in like that (and finishing before me in a race i was sure i had you beat in) is just plain cheeky zoomy!! :D

Other thing I do is eat a couple of dry digestive biscuits. Helps on occasion. Midwife told me not to drink milk or eat cheese to abate it because it makes it worse diary aggrivates it rather than soothing it which I didn't know.

I can believe that. I have been drinking milk thinking it would make it better but it doesn't and sometimes it even seems to cause it!

    Thanks ladies!

Congrats! Izoomzoom, nice that someone's broken the tradition of going overdue!

Hi tsstss7 and Mazcabs any news on the baby front, not here i'm afraid, hope everything goes well for you when the time comes finally decided not to try anything else to try and get her out, had a madras on sat nite and a full pineapple in the hope that it would get her moving but to no avail. Damn!! 40wk+4 really can't wait to see my daughter and make sure everything is in the right place and she's healthy, maybe it's because my other two children are older, i have a son of 14yrs and a daughter who will be 12 in december that she is being stubborn and hanging on in there. Labour vibes greatly received.
    Titch :)

Shazy73 - have you done any nipple tweaking? The stimulation produces some chemical that gets the contractions going. Unfortunately I'm hopeless at remembering the details so can't give you all the info but I read it in a natural birth book the other day. They say it works even better if you are being 'serviced' by your man at the same time. It's all to do with the chemicals it releases in your body. Good luck. xxx
