and Danny has hiccups again (im not kidding, he must get them for about 15 minutes at a time at least twice a day!)
I believe you. :) Alex was exactly the same in my tummy, and now 10 weeks later he's still the same - hiccups at least twice a day. Must be a boy thing. :D
  • No more talk of the overdue club! I'm not having my christmas dinner in hospital :p

hey guys. sorry havent been about in ages. i am now 13+1 which is great. had 12week scan and everything is good. funny how it looks human compared to the 7 weeks scan!!!! i have definately stopped being sick and my appetite is coming back though i still have a few aversions. i have a tiny little bump (so exciting) and my damned boobs are expanding (not good already 34f!). so just found out that my stoopid hospital have a no sex tell policy which i am so unimpressed about so i want one of these super fancy 3/4d scans at about 28 weeks. i am gonna start pricing them on monday but was wondering how much any of you paid so i can grasp the average.

why do i ahve no baby buddies yet. the may people better hurry up and join!!
love you lots like jelly tots :o

Hi Rjh, well done on getting past the 12 week mark! As for the 4d scans, I'd guess since you're in Belfast you're going to be a bit limited to how much choice there is, unless you're prepared to travel to the mainland. I'm in Wales, and my nearest place is Bupa, about 10 miles away, the next nearest alternative was also Bupa, but a good 30-40 miles away. HAve to pay £230 for mine

I think the Midlands area does the cheapest scans, but the cheaper ones don't go in for so many frills, so i reckoned that by the time i took travelling expenses and the equivalent package into account, it worked out about the same to travel just down the road and be home again within an hour :money:

Also, my parents are due over for xmas from Belfast the same day I'm booked in for the scan, so I'm planning to take them along for an extra pressie for them :rotfl:
  • Wish I had a 4D scan now. I miss seeing my little baby it's been WEEKS since I last saw him (well 11 weeks to be precise!) but I guess I shall be seeing him in around 9 weeks so I just need to be patient.
  • Been looking on window to the womb website for 4d scans. Was thinking about having one. Wondered if anybody had had one and thought that it looked a big, er... freaky. Would like to take my kids and don't want to scare them. Also if things don't look normal has it made anybody worry any more.
    now mum of 4!!!
  • I was wondering about having one of these aswell...my friend had one for medical reasons and her husband was a bit freaked out by it and wouldn't have paid to have one done. But I'm still not sure - I would be having mine sometime soon after christmas ( be about 28 weeks then) I'm having my detailed scan on 16th and cant wait. Can feel the baby moving quite alot but then when its quiet I start panicking a bit... This is going to be along 20 weeks I cant remember this the first time around lol ( nearly 14 years ago)

  • I had one a couple of weeks ago and it was great. Took my 8 year old and she loved it and hasn't stopped talking to the baby since. We have a folow up in two weeks and I can't wait. It really makes you excited to meet the baby. It also allayed any fears I had that baby might have hare lip (it runs in OH's family) as I could see his face clearly and he looks just like a photo we have of DS when he was one day old.
My Mum did say the photos look "weird and creepy" though, but that's Mums for you!
  • I presume this has been discussed before but has anyone got any tips to get rid of heartburn. I have it really badly and I don't think we have anything in to get rid of it.
Will be going out tomorrow to buy something, even if it's gone, so that I'm prepared for next time -what do i get??
