Sounds like we should all have listened and practice our pelvic floor muscles - does anybody actually do these. Not looking forward to getting a cough or cold!!! Mind you, after having 3 children already i am just thankful i can make it to the loo in time when i'm not pregnant.
Sugarcubed - sounds like your OH is a typical male. They are normally incapable of doing anything helpful and when they do 'make the effort' it makes twice as much work for us.now mum of 4!!!0 -
I cant even stop mid flow which is apparently how you find out how to do these so i have no chance of ever regaining any control! I love my gorgeous little girl0

The retching was just too much pressure and the only thing i could do was grab a towel to sit and wee on while my head was in the loo!
Snap - it's not very dignified is it. I had this on one occasion with ds and three cats shouting through the loo door to be fed! Have to be very vigilant with the pfe's to keep it at bay. Didn't do them as much after ds as I planned due to repeat urinary infections, so never quite recovered. On the bright side my asthma manifests itself as bad coughing first and so if the old bladder goes I know it's actually asthma and not a normal cough which I can just about cope with!Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0 -
Hi all
Congrats to those who have had their babys since I last peeked in and to those who have just joined the list. I haven't had time to go through to see just what has been happening so ((hugs)) to those that need it.
Had my scan last Friday and the whole process took ages! Baby would not co operate so the pic is the worst, difficulty in measuring and ended up with dates that I didn't agree with. Met up with lovely MW then to do the paperwork and had the uncomfortable chat about my age (37) and the risks of downs etc (1 -179?). Kinda took the edge of the excitement. Need to organise the APF at 15+4 which is next week for me now. Got the same chat with Ob and then ended up back for another scan cos they measured the wrong way across the head and a new date which does fit in with my dates better. Now edd is 26/04. Going to get an anomaly scan at around 20wks because I have had 2 sections and going to go for another elective (tried vbac last time but no joy). 20wk scans not standard with our trust yet. Also going to be scanned at 36wks.
So decided to hide the pg as long as we can although I have told my boss as I need to take time off for apps. If anything is wrong with baba, we need time to come to terms with it and then prepare the family, near and distant. As we have 2 boys, people will assume we are trying for the girl and if baba turns out to be so and with problems, I don't want the sympathy and whispering - "ah what a shame, they tried for another to get a girl and look......"
Also finally discovered what is wrong with my arm and relieved to find out it is not connected to the meningitis (last year and full recovery). I have a twisted pelvis which the physio will sort. Explains the tilted womb as well I suppose? In pain a lot because of the manipulation but it will all be worth it(I hope)0 -

izoomzoom - awwww big hugs hunnie, I hope you're feeling a lot better today and OH apologised and made up for it. I was extremely hormonal yesterday and could've just burst into tears over nothing but could tell that if I did I wouldn't stop so managed to hold it in. Just keep thinking we're nearly there now and we will definitely be holding and cuddling our babies within a few weeks AT MOST!! There are times when it almost feels like it's gone quite quickly!
shazy73, tsstss7, mazcabs - sending you major labour vibes as well as izoomzoom, CG and myself!!
Must try and keep busy today as I was so low yesterday I just ended up doing nothing which I think made me feel worse, so off to do some housework and make a chocolate cake to cheer me up!!:j Ellie (Eleanor) Sophie arrived 10 days late on 19th November at 8.21am. 9lbs 1 oz :j0 -
Well I must have had a HUGE energy burst or something today I have done all the washing, cleaned all downstairs and upstairs (apart from the hoovering but that's upstairs and I am not allowed to carry it down on hubby's orders and he is at work!). Feel very pleased with myself and it's not even half past 10 yet - what will I do with the rest of my day!! Oh yes I could do the ironing.....hmmmm
Hope the fact it is quiet on here means all those ready to go are all having the contractions and will have some news for us after the weekend.
Oh and hopeless cook - a chocolate cake. Now that sounds like a great idea I might do that this afternoon!! Have warm fresh out of oven choc cake with custard on yum yum.0
