i use to go in a chatroom when i wos preggers with my DS and always got the "haven't u had it yet?" question, i just use to type "yeah had it just a second ago and thought instead of cooing over my 1st darling baby i'd pop in2 a chatroom and type rubbish to strangers" pmsl.

i had a nice surprised yesterday when i got back from pickin my DS up from playschool to find a big black bin liner full of baby clothes from next, mothercare and m&s. there wos no note so i think it wos from my next door neighbour lol ( most still had tags on them)
    1st son born 11/02/05 2nd son born 09/01/08
thats all i'm adding to the human race so think yourselfs lucky lol
  • I should of known our bumps would look the same and our babies be lying the same way :rotfl:

How was the scan? im hoping to re arrange for next tuesday or wednesday but its really difficult at the moment for OH to get away from work anytime before 6pm

Im not a crazy stalker but i have figured that we probably only live a couple of miles away from each other

Lol, very probably. you're not the woman at the end of my street who's pregnant, are you? :rotfl:

The scan was excellent. I always sort of knew that there was a baby in there, obviously, but it sort of makes it real. He was yawning and snuggling in and one of the photos is the spitting image of DS the day he was born. We go back in a fortnight to have the second scan done (We picked the watch them grow package) and the sonographer says he'll be fatter and will be opening his eyes...can't wait!

I dont think im in your street no! i think your probably in a small town and im up at the top of the hill not too far away where its always windy lol

The scan sounds great, im desperate to see her little face and would love to see her yawning. I think im just going to re book today as i cant wait any longer.

BTW i can just see us meeting in the hospital car park whilst in labour at the same time :D
 I love my gorgeous little girl
  • Hi there guys...

I need some advice. I am only about 7/8 weeks pregnant with my second child, my first being 11 yrs old now... I keep getting period like pains and backache quite a bit... has anyone else have this?
We desperately want this child and I am verging on the side of paranoia...

    Thanks

    Lil
  • Hi Lil

Im not one of the regulars here nor do i know much about pregnancy but early on in my pregnancy i had crampy period like pains for weeks as well as some bleeding and im now 27 weeks with the most active baby!

Try not to worry too much x

Erm, weirdly "im up at the top of the hill not too far away where its always windy" is the perfect description of where I live. I am quite spooked!
  • Thanks for getting back to me....

This pregnancy feels so different to the one I had 11 years ago (from what I remember!)
I don't do myself any favours googling sites and looking at sites quoting stats on pregnancy... if you know what I mean.... see i can't even bring myself to type the word! LOL!!
I can't wait to have my first scan in a couple of weeks to prove to myself that I am actually pregnant! It's a dating scan or something..
My stomach is already bulging and feels gassy, but the doctor assures me that it's due to the water retention and my uterus expanding! I also now and again suffer backache twinges.. I must be imagining it!

Am I normal or turning into a hypocondriac?

    Take care all

    Lil x

yup, if it could ache... it did!
i think our natural paranoia is more in tune to early aches and niggles because its human nature to expect the worst, but try not to worry, your body may look no different but is in complete overdrive making a comfy nest for your rapidly growing bubba!

of course if your at all worried, then call a midwife (or your doctors if you havent seen a midwife yet) or even call NHS direct for advice,
my doctors always make me feel like a complete nuerotic, but i dont care! im not going to sit at home fretting over something that a professional could reasurre me about with all of 2 minutes of their time!

Hi, Lilian, I had this with present baby and was on constant alert as I'd already had two miscarriages. 27 weeks into the pregnancy and everything fine, so don't worry too much. To counter balance it, when I did have a miscarriage I had no pains etc and it was just picked up at the scan.

I think a lot of people get period-y type pains and though worrying I think it can often just be your uturus stretching etc
  • This is really wierd! Im desperate to know where you are now.

I know you were 'cold' a few months ago and thats why i thought you were in a small town near to me but now im thinking we both live where its always windy.

Do people always ask you 'if its snowing up there yet?'
