I know you were 'cold' a few months ago and thats why i thought you were in a small town near to me but now im thinking we both live where its always windy.
Do people always ask you 'if its snowing up there yet?'
Yup!
Ah, I wondered what the reference to the small town was. Yes, I'm at the village at the top of that small town. We were also affected by the gas leak. So I'm presuming you're from somewhere around there but not the same village? I have one or two thoughts!0 -
At the time of the gas problems i lived very near here but without mains gas. There are three villages running along the hill at the top of the small town, and the middle one doesnt have mains gas. Im guessing your in the other one to me as i didnt think the gas here was affected? I love my gorgeous little girl0

Rather than playing guess who...PM'd you.
(TBH I've given away so many details about myself that anyone who knows me would be able to identify me anyway, but never mind!)0 -

I think you are entitled to rant as much as you want while pregnant. It's the one time people excuse your moods. Rant away, we don't mind!0 -

Oooh, I am really hormonal today. I have been bawling my eyes out. I just need to get this out of my system ... and I am sorry it is so long
DH works really hard, physcially and has a 1.5 hour commute too, so I understand he is tired when he gets home, but it seems of late that he is incapable of doing anything once he gets home. Typically last night he got home, and we all sat down to dinner not long thereafter. About 30 mins after dinner, DH goes up for a bath, and he vegged out in there for a while, and got out just before DS1 bedtime. I had said earlier in the day that I had stripped the bed off, and needed his help to put it back together again, and of course there was a pile of washing on the bed too (2 loads), that had already been ironed etc and just needed to be put away.
DH put his and my clothes away, but then just puts the boys clothes on the top of their drawers so I put them away properly. We then made the bed together and after a long discussion / crying with DS1 because he hadn't done his music practice, we came down stairs.
I sat around for a little bit, and then got uncomfortable, so I vaccummed the lounge and started to clear off the table and DH says leave the stuff, I'll wash it later (which he used to do). Bearing in mind, it was really on just the plates and serving dishes, as I had already washed all the cooking pots, so I took everything to the kitchen and left it there.
No long after DH is snoring his head off, so between surfing a bit, I washed up the dishes and tided the kitchen, and normally I would not do this, but because I want a homebirth, I have said over and over again, can we just have the house in a tidy state when we go to bed at night, because I don't want to deal with tidying up if I wake up in labour in the middle of the night, before the MWs get to us. For DH part, this has mostly fallen on deaf ears.
Anyway, this morning DH is up really early, as is his way (2 hours before he has to leave for work), and I stayed in bed as amazingly my ribs weren't aching, so all DH had to do was make the boys sandwiches, do some music practice with DS1 and make their breakfast. Well he tried to make their breakfast (we have started on oats, and I have shown him twice how to do it - really easy, one scoop of oats and two of water and then in the micro ...) but he cocked it up, and I got called out of bed and had to bin the lot. DH did make me a cup of tea ...., and I am busy making the oats, and then did some for him and me too, but he doesn't have time for it to finish cooking, so I asked him what he has been doing all morning, and he just says to me ''f... all''. Well that just started the tears, and I refused to even say goodbye to him, and now all I can do is cry and cry and cry ...
5 hours later, I am still crying, and he hadn't even phoned me to apologise !0 -
I am 40wk+1 and totally fed up of being pregnant, went to see MW yesterday for a membrane sweep and it couldn't be performed cause my cervix is tucked too far up at the back, i have been drinking the raspberry leaf tea for 3 weeks now and it hasn't worked i have heard of taking evening primrose oil, anybody tried this and does it work to soften your cervix. I have to go back next weds to try again with the membrane sweep, failing that i have to be induced and i won't get the homebirth we have been planning for so long. Any advice would be gratefully received.Titch0
