Twinges...
This morning I have got a weird pain that I can feel both in my back and tummy, to the side - when I breathe in it hurts. I can only feel it on one side though, it's sort of an ache that feels worse when I breathe, if that makes sense.
I would ignore it but it's rather uncomfortable, does this sound familiar to anyone?0 -

Thanks for replying so quickly Justie.
It's well below my ribs - just below the line of my bellybutton is the best way to describe it, and on the left.
I'm 22+5.0 -
could be more stretching as baby gets bigger - I'm trying to remember back to then but can't think of anything in particular. I know I had pains sometimes around there when reaching my arms up or out but not with breathing. Sorry can't be much help.0

No, it does help, thanks Justie - I've had lots of twinges and some of them have been quite sharp in the past, you start feeling like an elderly woman going 'ooh' and 'ouch' every time you move
this just feels a bit different.
Maybe I need to stretch a bit, will potter about and see if I can stretch it out.0 -
did you sleep funny?
i wake up with the weirdest of pains then OH tells me i was doing something resembling the Vogue dance in bed0 -
Many many twinges to worry about, but the ones I detest most are the ones that last for days on end and you really start worrying. I had a great one down my left side, just above my hip. I ended up blaming baby asking it if it was his fault! Never got an answer though .
But, unlike Emma out of Emma's Diary, I do not have anyone to call to ask. I wouldn't have a clue how to contact a midwife, the doc is obviously not reachable, protected by many receptionists, and the hospital is miles away and in an emergency do I go there or to my nearest?
On the bright side - 24 weeks today! "Your baby would have a slight chance of surviving if it came out now". Another milestone done...:wall:0 -
I didn't sleep funny but I did sleep heavily last night - first night in a while that I haven't woken up to go to the loo or have some water - so maybe if I stayed in one position for a long time it's just an every day ache.
Just paced around the car park to see if it helps, not so much but it feels better when standing up - maybe baby's head is just pressing on something? He isn't a huge mover so I might be stuck with this for a while :rolleyes:0 -
Agutka, I know what you mean, I don't know who to call if I have a question - Emma's diary annoys me, it seemed quite helpful in the beginning but now she just seems smug
and her OH irritates me, seems like a waste of space
It's hard to know what is worth worrying about and what is not. I am not in severe pain, and I feel VERY lucky to not have had any problems so far, but I worry then that that is lulling me into a false sense of security, so I start thinking, go to the docs anyway, perhaps she will use the doppler and I'll be put at ease, also I want to moan about my bloody ankles to someone as I find it unbelievable that there is nothing that can relieve them... but my doctors give me huge guilt like I am using an appointment that someone dying could've had, or similar...
Aaaanyway... congratulationsNot long to go now  have you shopped much yet?
