Blimey I must be so naive??
Shocking at my age too! haha
It's worth discussing with your OH what your thoughts are should any of the tests show a higher likelihood - we'd decided that we wanted to know so we could prepare ourselves but that we'd take what came our way but everyone's different and my friend decided it'd make no difference to what they did so they didn't want to know and so she didn't have any of the tests.0 -

Thanks Justie & Dormouse - I will get it checked asap, I just feel as though I'm moaning all the time about this, that and the other!
Talking about moaning....I'm really peeved today!!! DH has told me that his sister (who is due at the end of the year and who I posted about a few weeks ago as I thought she was 'stealing our thunder!) has mentioned twice now that I will be her baby's carer when she goes back to work as, and I quote, 'whats one more baby to care for when I will already have one of my own'?!?
I know she is worried as she earns alot more than her husband and they have just took on a big mortgage but I just want to be Mum to my own baby!!! I'm not looking forward to her asking me face to face

Good luck with that conversation. My SIL is a bit like that, assuming. Mother is always asking me why I don't call/visit my brother - erm, because I don't continually want to be asked to do stuff for them. And that's a biggie.
Just like they asked me to babysit the nephew one day a week for a month, until they got a nanny. Three days a week and SIX months later I had enough and have never been keen to help them out again. Whoops.:wall:0 -

you have to stand up for yourself here, like it or not or you will get walked all over...
we were given pregnancy hormones for a reason... use them wisely!
tell your DH, MIL, SIL and any one else who will listen that your not doing it and thats that, your SIL financial situation is not your problem....
and honestly if her job pays that much and shes that desperate to get back to it, she can afford a childminder.
big favours for family.... they almost always end in tears :rolleyes:0
