I have just taken first iron tablet so will see how I get on.

I went to a party last night and baby was jigging the whole time so I just couldn't get comfortable. Then when I got into bed I could feel several hard shoves against my pelvis- he/she is definitely trying to get it's head right down. I am due to see MW 18th so will be good to see how much they can feel of head then as she said she could feel 4/5 last week.

Got car seat out of the loft yesterday and DD2 was so excited and has finally twigged that a baby is coming. I am sooooo excited!

I thought it's the opposite - that orange juice aids the iron absorbtion (and things like tea or coffee lessen it)? I might be wrong though. :o

I was very pleased as my iron levels were fine when they took my bloods the other day - I hated the iron tablets when I was expecting DS (although I only had them at the end, like jenpoptab).

Ooh jenpoptab, sounds like things are going to start happening soon - how exciting! :j

    Oh No.

I missed a couple of days of tablets, so started again this morning. I'll try this 'cycle' with tea instead and see if I can detect any changes.

  • Hi all,

How do I know if I have a water infection?! :o

What should I look out for? Think I may have one but having never had one before I'm not sure... :o

    Hi ladies,

Can anyone tell me where I can get a reliable but low cost pregnancy test kit from please?

I am 4 days late, when I am usually so regular to the day! However I have sore boobs and have had a few cramps feeling like I was going to come on, but nothing has happened.

My hubby and I went away 3 weeks ago, to deliberately try to make a baby as it was my fertile period. However I am shocked if it has worked after our first attempt as I am older (38).

My friend gave me a kit she had left over, but the expiry date was dec 2006. I used the kit this morning, and it showed positive!!! However I think I should do another one maybe when I am a week late, before ringing the doctor for an appointment. I dont want to jump the gun here!!

I am here in shock at the moment so came here, as have seen previous threads about where to buy home kits relatively cheap..but cannot find the link.

Any advice would be great, as whilst it may be a new exciting chapter, I am bricking it!!!

    Thanks ladies!!!

pain especially at the end of urinating and pain especially at night when you're more dehydrated. If you're at all concerned that you have a UTI then go to see your GP asap and get it treated.

aw congrats sounds to me like the out of date test worked just fine - I think poundland or poundstretcher or one of those usually gets a mention on the cheap tests but any of the own brand ones are cheaper than the branded. Or just go to see your GP say you think you may be and get it done for free ;)

We got pregnant pretty much first go too and when I said to the GP I thought it'd take longer she said she hears that a lot but really if you're not using contraception the chances are high! Obviously some people struggle to conceive but the vast majority don't - you just hear less about that so the perception is that it's really hard to get pregnant.

Hope you're taking your folic acid! :D

    Aww thanks Justie!

My head is like blamonge(?) right now and has been all day.
Always planned to have a family, but only got married 11 months ago and now there is a possibility it has happened I'm freaked out!!!! hahaha!
Can't tell anyone yet, but of course showed my hubby the test this morning. He smiled, but wasnt sure if it was accurate as the test had expired, and asked me if I thought I was pregnant. I havent got a clue, just feel like jelly right now!!!!

Do you think I should wait a week to see if anything happens first? I dont want the doc to think Im an overkeen baby freak!

Nice to be able to talk to experienced ladies here...anyone else feel alien when they first found out or thought they might be?
