Savers is where I got my test from - I think it was 89p or something :D Nothing fancy, just a little strip (no plastic case like in the expensive tests) but does the trick.

I'd test again if I were you Dibdob, just to be sure. :D But the signs are good :)

What Justie said, and also needing to go all the time (I know, hardly unusual when you're pregnant, so not such a great sign ).

Get drinking that cranberry juice missus, and get it checked out - hopefully if you catch it early enough, it shouldn't last too long. Good luck SB :o

I swore a lot when my test was positive as did OH when I showed him - we were trying but as I say hadn't expected it anywhere near that soon. I really wanted a large G&T even though it was first thing in the morning! It still wasn't very real until the 20 week scan although the 12 week scan helped me to know at least I wasn't making it up.

I would get onto it soon never mind seeming over keen! If you want to have the nuchal fold test (more accurate when used in conjunction with the triple test than the triple test alone) then you need to get registered with a midwife sooner rather than later as you need to have the scan at about 11 weeks. Not every PCT offers it as standard though so be warned you may have to push to get it if you want it.

Okay, one more post from me and then I'll shut up. :o

Is anyone else feeling particularly hormonal? I don't what it is but I've felt really rubbish the last few days - really emotional and weepy, and easily deflated by the smallest things. I've got no particualr reason to feel down, but have been crying at the stupidest things and just feel fat and ugly and generally just... bleugh.

Is it the weather - I dunno? No idea why I would feel like this at this particular stage.

I know I was mega hormonal the day before I went into labour with DS, so hopefully it's not that (not at 29 weeks ). Nah, I've been like this for a few days now. *sniff*

I'm at the same stage as you Dormouse and yesterday I was in tears most of the day - not an attractive look in public! The heavy heat certainly didn't help nor did baby lying in such a way that I felt sick and had really bad pelvic pain. I'm mostly ok generally but the smallest thing can have me in floods of sobbing tears (none of this attractive teardrop falls down the face whilst I still look serene thing no the full on red eyes blotchy face toddler crying  ) and although I'm not feeling like a whale as such it's certainly getting harder to do normal day to day things and I'm not sure quite how I'll manage this week as OH is away so my usual getter down of things from high places or off the floor won't be here :rotfl:

ETA: I was on the Recue Remedy most of yesterday ;)

Tentative congratulations, Dibdob - sounds good to me :) I fell very quickly too, completely unexpected, didn't believe a positive test at all, I remember being very annoyed that OH wasn't willing to trek to Boots at 8 o'clock on a Friday evening :o

As for emotions, I promise I am usually a rational and normal person, I am not a drama queen and I am quite calm. Not now though  Everyone is against me and no one cares, is pretty much how I feel. I get no consideration for being pregnant (hark at me! can't help it :o ) and everyone is trying to make my life difficult. Some of this might have a basis in reality though :-/ but yes basically I am a wobbly lipped wreck of late :(

slapps - paracetamol are ok as few as you can get away with though and if you need it codeine is ok too for some of the pregnancy although should be only taken with the advice of a medic as there can be problems especially in the 3rd trimester. You may find that a warm compress is soothing - toothache of any sort is horrid though and wisdom teeth are particularly bad.
