Agutka dont worry about it too much more than likely you will probably start yourself before you get there. i was induced with my 1st and 3rd and the only advantage is that the labour doesnt usually last as long as one naturally started. just think you will soon be sitting with your new baby wondering what all the worry was about!!!!!

well i got a real bargin today a set of brand new one life reusable nappies on ebay for £26!! was going to buy them during the week and spend £70 am so glad i held off!!! this must be a MSE baby as i have got near enough everything bargin priced from my big silver cross pram down to the nappies :D:D:D my husband thinks im mad lol!!! xx
What's for you won't go past you

    jtotheb update...

Nappies changed so far today = 6
Breastfeeding given so far today (mrs jtotheb, not me!) - 3 hours
Sleep managed since going to bed last night - 3 hours

We thought we were SO well prepared! It's been quite a shock for us..!
  • Sending plenty of hugs, Agutka. Looking forward to hearing the news!

My midwife visited today and did a sooty and sweep - didn't hurt as I have read, and much preferable to a smear! She said she was very surprised to find me 1cm dilated and my cervix is anterior - well things are going in the right direction but how long a wait I am in for, who knows. My blood pressure is slightly up - again apparently this is a good sign though not documented.

Everything is ready but that's all the more reason for nothing to happen, right?

Hugs being sent to everyone who needs them.

I spoke to my daughter on the phone tonight - her foster carer called me. My daughter didn't say it, but the foster carer told her that her Mummy was on the phone. I got very emotional.... how silly!!!
I saw two shooting stars last night
I wished on them but they were only satellites
Is it wrong to wish on space hardware
    I wish, I wish, I wish you'd care

Agutka, hope it's all coming out now (or very very soon!) Don't go getting nervous about things now when you've been an oasis of calm to everyone else for months, it's just not right :)

Ophie, so pleased for you - couple across the road from me were having their "hearing" on Friday but don't know how they got on yet...I couldn't believe how much work had to go into it all, they must be more qualified than Blue Peter presenters with all the scrapbooks and videos they had to prepare!

Off for my anomaly scan tomorrow so fingers crossed all is well, am just suffering a bit from all the driving I've done in the last week on holiday so aching pelvis, front bits and heels and feeling sorry for myself. Hoping the scan will cheer me up a bit but got the usual feelings of doom and gloom beforehand for no reason whatsoever!

Douggie - good luck with your scan tomorrow.

3Kidsnomoney - hope you've not been worrying too much this weekend and that all is going well.

Will try to post more tomorrow.
Good luck with the heartburn tonight ladies!

Ok, am still here-the tension of the rugby didn't start anything off luckily! Am in this afternoon for preadmission tests, and then section on wednesday to get these twin boys out!
(so much for being able to watch the world cup final tho!!!-will prob still be stuck in hosp!).

Agutka-good luck with induction-i had it with my first boy-wasn't particularly uncomfortable but did just take a little while to work, but as everyone says its worth the wait! As long as bubba is happy and healthy doesn't matter how you start off.

JototheB-sounds like you are going thro as many nappies as i thought!-my front room is heaving with packs of size1+2 nappies in preparation. Everyone who has seen it laughs at me-but i remember how many nappies 1 newborn goes thro a day, let alone 2!!
