Wow, sounds like they like you at that hospital! Goodness, does this mean you have to be more careful than the rest of us - such as NOT doing starjumps (if one more person suggests this...grrr).

Now, is there a chance of me going into labour? Probably not , although at 41+2 you'd think there would be. But you're right, better safe than sorry. Although I'd be more worried about having to pay two sets of car parking charges if OH has to join me later...

I have a short cervix (4mm at last check) so I keep getting pulled back in! Last time I was in 6 women in my room went into labour. In fact I was the only one to leave without child :)

Yes I'm told not to be too active, no sex, no hot food etc. I've also have a stitch in my cervix and have the delightful task of having to put progesterone pesseries up my bottom twice daily :rotfl: . I've also been injected with steroids to boost my baby. The things we do for kids eh?!!

All worth it in the end, when they place that little bundle of magic in your arms. ;)

    Hello
I am having an uncomfortable day, I have a little roll of what my hubby likes to call "third boob" which is getting trapped between my boobs and bump. Its probably down my bad posture which they talk about in all the books, or maybe because I am still in underwired bras (I got measured at Bravisimo and they said if the wires aren't resting where milk duct are they should be ok - at 32FF I feel a bit insecure without the wires) Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions? Anyone know if there is any chance that in time the "third boob will just stretch and become part of the bump?
    All suggestions gratefully accepted.

Hi, I hope you don't mind me making a suggestion. I am a 34G and I stopped wearing underwire at about 10 weeks purely due to discomfort. I too was told that aslong as there was a big enough gap the wire would be fine but I simply found it uncomfortable to have them hoiked so far up!! :rotfl: I took a long time trying to find the best bra for me and I bough lots if the same one (after ordering them in as they didn't stock the size!!). I now wear the Mother Care Moda bra and it has a large band round my chest which is so comfy. It comes in black and white and really has been my saviour. I would seriously give it a try. I found the difference to be very minimal in look and it far out weighs the discomfort I promise! Its just a though but I am so pleased I found these bras I thought I should share.

    I have news!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baby Eleanor Grace was born on Saturday 6th October (3 days early)!

I woke up at 6:45am with contractions 10 mins apart, As I pottered about, had a warm bath etc they went to 5 minutes after about 1.5 hours so we set off for hospital, had some very strong contractions on the way and more still when I was checking into the delivery suite, so got my TENS machine going which was fab, I soon added gas & air to the equation, and then when they examined me at around 10am I was 9cm dilated and it was just the waters holding me back- I didn't want an artificial membrane rupture so had to squeeze, they eventually went when the classical music CD that belonged to the hospital started playing the music we had at our wedding!

11 minutes of pushing (which hurt a lot as she had turned her head to face forwards), with me kneeled on the floor leaning forwards over the side of the bed, Eleanor was born at 11:07am weighing an impressive 8lb 11oz :)

She is so beautiful and we are settling in just fine, she has taken to breastfeeding like a duck to water and is doted on by her big brother and sister, and her mummy and daddy too of course!

Congratulations to the new arrivals that I've missed- off to read the last few pages of this thread!

    Love

  • Congratulations Squashy.

Sounds like it all went well, all things considered. Very classy name you've chosen too - sounds very elegant!

  • ps- i got a huge bottle of gaviscon on prescription too, but as it has the texture of...ahem... 'spume'
it made me feel sick! lol
im sooooooooooooooo sqeamish at the moment (OH probably not as happy with that, but he cant have everything! lol)

Right that's it. I'm back on the rennie now. Don't think I could stomach any more Gaviscon after that CG!!!
I feel teary, tired and fed up too. I'm hoping she will decide to come early, though probably not. I'm expecting another 10lber at least. I have a 36 week scan on Tuesday, and sometimes they give you an approximate weight. I'm not sure if I really want to know, as my other two were so big!
Proud to be dealing with my debts
