Congrats and good luck to everyone else who's joined and trying to birth!
Had another scan today (my fourth, purely because the baby loves lying in awkward postions). She seems to be fine, but she was having none of it when we wanted to double check she is actually a girl. I told this sonographer what the last one said exactly and he said she sounded quite sure, but hey, it's another thing to worry about.

CG - how many weeks gone were you when you had your 4D scan? I've looked up the one in Portsmouth and it recommends a few weeks time I think (I'm nearly 21 weeks, and my heartburn is bad enough now, goodness knows how bad it will be by the time I get to your stage - so hope you feel better soon). As this is likely to be the last time I do this, and her pics haven't been great I'm surely tempted, and of course they may be able to double confirm the sex.
Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early :D
  • I was 26 weeks (the earliest they will scan you at the place i went too) and went back at 28 weeks cos Danny is also a difficult lil bleeder! who didnt want to pose for the camera :)

Ophie, i dont think ive ever been so pleased about something to do with someone i dont even know!! (if that makes sense! lol)

    Hello
I am having an uncomfortable day, I have a little roll of what my hubby likes to call "third boob" which is getting trapped between my boobs and bump. Its probably down my bad posture which they talk about in all the books, or maybe because I am still in underwired bras (I got measured at Bravisimo and they said if the wires aren't resting where milk duct are they should be ok - at 32FF I feel a bit insecure without the wires) Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions? Anyone know if there is any chance that in time the "third boob will just stretch and become part of the bump?
    All suggestions gratefully accepted.

    Good news ophie! Congrats.
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o
  • Cathie - I can only say that i have huge boobs like you also & that when i was measured in M&S the assistant was adamant that us pregnant ladies must not be wearing wired bras! She gave me quite a talking to! I felt like a naughty girl. It's all because your milk comes in from the sides apparently.

I managed to get some bargain maternity bras in the recent M&S sale for £2.00 each! There not too bad either, not as supportive as the underwired bras but not too bad.

Good luck with trying to find something comfortable!
Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:

    Hello fellow beach balls!
Except for Ophie, who's being sensible about this, I am so happy for you btw!

What a lovely rollercoaster I've been on today.
Standard hospital appointment - 'so when do you usually induce' asked I. Term plus 10 says midwife. Then we had a good laugh, as I am T+9 today.
Then some lovely doctor lady comes in and TORTURES ME!! I mean, who in their right mind would voluntarily ASK for a sweep?? (not pointing any fingers ) It was very amusing as she was completely ignoring me - do you want a sweep? - NO - get on the couch then; can I go deeper? Might hurt - NOOO! - okay, I'll just give it a go... Then she was offended when I said I didn't like her :D.
So now, barely able to walk I am sent for a pee sample, of course there's protein in it. And BP is higher than they like , like HELLO? What did you just do to me!
So I end up in the day assessment unit. Again. Where I stay for years, as my BP is higher and they can't measure baby's hearbeat, as the little so and so keeps moving so much. Bless.
All this time I am getting more and more stressed out, as visions of emergency ceasarians flash before my eyes.
And no, I didn't manage to bring my hospital bag with me...

In the end though, I am booked in for Sunday 19.30 for an induction, but have to go back every day till then to check my blood pressure. Also have to watch out for headaches and dizzyness (enough to GIVE you a headache) as they will want to get baby out sooner then...

Oh, and apparently my bits and bobs are not even slightly interested in labour (unripened etc), so even induction will probably take years and years...

    HELP ME!!
    :wall:

  • Oh Agutka :grouphug: you're supposed to say, the sweep was quick and painless and I'd happily have another!

But at least you have a date now and can prepare for it - of course you might go into labour before then anyway...

I'm glad they're keeping a close eye on you.
  • Congrats Ophie

Booked in for amnio tomorrow! Not sure if this is the right thing to do but it's what i'm doing. Don't think i am going to sleep tonight.
    now mum of 4!!!
