  • Back on again. I came online to ask this question then got all engrossed in what's been happening since I last looked!

Apart from 2 positive pg tests, one at home and one at GP, I have no symptoms (oh and missing periods doh!). In both of my pregnancies, I had tender breasts and felt sick. This time, nothing. Should I be grateful or worried?

CONGRATULATIONS SARAHMOON glad to hear all went well.....

emma_b hope all is going well with you now .. am hoping u r sitting with newborn as I type!!!

Hi Machairs ...in answer to you question ? I think that is totally normal ...I didn't know I was preggers until I took the test at around 5 weeks and that was a case of "I wonder if I've missed a period I'd better take a test" I'm not too great with keeping track see and wasted many a pretty penny on pregnancy tests because of it! even then I took six tests in total as I didn't believe it ...I didn't feel pregnant at all....not the case now though the word heifer comes to mind!!!!

I didn't get morning sickness either so thats not so unusual also.

  • Big congrats to Sarah and family.. wonderful news. Glad to hear it all went well and I can't wait to see the pics.

Good luck to Emma, hopefully you are holding your newborn as I type this!

Well, I've had an awful sinus infection and been taking lots of antibiotics and paracetamol but I seem to be over the worst of it now... never realised how painful sinus infections are which sounds silly complaining about the pain in a pregnancy thread!! :rotfl:

Off into town later and might start buying a few bits for my hospital bag (or is 33 weeks too early to do that? ) Ah well... it will put my mind at rest a bit.. do you think it will encourage "bump" to be organised and not keep me waiting too long as well!! :D

had a moment last week when it felt like I had been pregnant FOREVER and it was never going to be my turn and this week I feel like it's gone too fast and I'm not prepared. I've suddenly realised I'm actually going to have a baby!! Does that sound weird!!! :rotfl:

Hope everyone else is happy and well and congrats to all the newbies... CG and I seem to be creeping up that list rather sharpish!!!

  • Hi all,

Firstly congrats to Sarah and family!

Got a question, been considering calling mw to ask but thought you ladies are so knowledgeable that you might be able to put my mind at ease. Been having really bad pains in my back/hips and spoke to mw at last appt. She said that they were normal but if got worse by next appt would send me for physio. Been a lot worse the last week or so, getting cramp like pains in my hips/lower back. Last 2 days had a pain in my crotch area that I can't explain any better than maybe having something shoved too far up inside (sorry if TMI). This happens only every now and again, more when I try to heave myself up out of a chair and is sooo painful! Makes me want to walk a bit like just been riding a horse! OH laughed at first then realised I was being serious.
Got more bad pains today, this time spreading right up to between my shoulders. Am feeling so sad, could sit and cry!

My mum scared me yesterday too, told me she was in slow labour with me for 9 days! She fell over in the snow and it started contractions. Does this reflect on my upcoming birth, do people have similar experiences? Starting to worry about the whole thing now I am officially 30 weeks! (strange, but it feels different than being 20-summut weeks) x

A huge hi to everyone, congratulations to sarahmoon and hang in there to emma_b. i have been reading religiously every day but i am still working so dont get a chance to post (who's idea was it to work to 38 weeks!!). finishing work at the end of next week and then you will all be sick of the sight of me. having said that, i was sick this morning - could this be the start of something??
