After you give birth... where does all that skin go? Thoughtful hubby said girlie at work regained her original shape really quickly. Thanks, aren't you in for a shock when I remain flabby...
That's such a typically 'helpful' blokey thing to say

Amazingly, some of the skin does sort of ping back. :D Yes, immediately after the birth you get the sponge cake effect, but it doesn't last. After my two, I'm quite pleased to say the tummy is not looking too bad (can't say that about my bum though - blame it on the Haribo! :rotfl: ).

Congratulations to the sarahmoons! :j Well done, hope you're all well.

Emma , you poor poor puppy!
I just hope when you do give birth, that the baby is tired too, and you both have a huge sleep, before getting on with your lives. Don't stay up the way Rachel did after she gave birth! Sending you energy vibes, hope it ends soon.

missjennipenni, congratulations. Welcome to the club, please join us in helping get babies out of some of our members!

    congrats to the sarahmoons

and emma you poor thing I was knackered enough after 30 hours let alone several days...
if you really really can't take it then you can request a c-section but it is major surgery and there are risks so don't think of it as the easy option but it should be an option (it'd just take a lot of foot stomping to get them to take you seriously). You could also say you fainted ;) and then they'll have to take you in and you can then ask them to induce you (although that too has its downsides...) or to have your waters broken to see if that speeds things up. Basically they shouldn't say 'no' to any reasonable request and being knackered isn't good for you or baby so even if you've not progressed they should monitor how the LO is doing and that may be enough grounds for you to have help giving birth... that said if I'd known how I'd feel now at the time I'd probably not have held out longer than I did (but then my waters had broken so there was an inevitable timescale cos of the risk of infection...).
Good luck with it all - one way or another that baby will be out soon!
