erm, seems baby had a change of plan
got to hosp, pains stopped was sent home not in established labour
only to start again in the lift.
so im home again now just been to sleep - gave me pain relief at hosp - getting pains every 20 min now so hoping it amounts to something

There are no words.
Have you explained induction to the baby? Maybe that will help it into natural labour.
And anyhow, what is the point of all that suffering (I'm assuming all those contractions hurt you) when it just stops? Next time you go to the hospital have someone blindfold you, so maybe you can be fooled into thinking you're still at home, and carry on with the labour!

SIXTEEN hours of contractions later im still in "early labour" i am starting to worry now as i am so tired but contractions every ten minutes since 12noon mean i cant sleep, how will i cope with the labour when its "established" i will be exhausted :eek:
has sarah been on today? bet she has popped with a nice delivery unlike my squattor clinging on from the inside :mad:

oh sweetheart, this sounds like my first labour. How many cm's are you? It's worth keeping in touch with the maternity ward as they shouldn't let you just let you labour without making any progress. It's not safe for your or the baby.

Nothing much else to add except there will be an end to all this, and a very happy ending too .... although at the moment I bet you feel like hauling the little blighter out with a sink plunger!

Good Luck Emma_b - you've just got think that it WILL all be over soon.

Could do with some reminding about the good things about being pregnant. There has got to be some, fed up with varicose veins, almost wetting myself when i sneeze, not being able to get comfy in bed, feeling faint - the list is endless. Anybody got anything good to say? Please!!! I've still got 5 months left.

Just thought I'd add myself to the list - I've just had my 12 week scan today and am due on 29th March 08. Its my 2nd -but my dd is nearly 14 so it feels like my first:eek: Good luck to all those due now and am looking forward to swapping stories with those due around the same time:p
