Hi Beaker, yes it is the doc who gives you the Mat B1.
Fac I couldn't even tell you our Health Visitors name the service is so bad around here. It may be a good thing that you get to know her before baby is born.
Emma b why can't they just give us an exact date and that is the date IT WILL HAPPEN lol.
Ooh and getting a sweep on Wednesday 12th if nothing has happened by then, it would be ideal to come this weekend tho. They took my signature away!!!!0 -
Well I am 35 weeks today, with 10 days until we move, and I am exhausted. Baby, who has previously been quiet and not that active, does not know how to stay in one place for more than a minute, and I must've turned over in bed a thousand times last night, waking up each time as it's such a struggle  I'm just so so tired and no one really understands that.
To add to my already high stress levels, current LL is considering selling up so the house is being valued tomorrow - hope they don't expect it to be tidy  AND apparently my health visitor wants to come and see me tomorrow - what for? Isn't it a bit early?
Oh and I still haven't sorted out a birth pool. Or a cot. Or a car seat. _pale_
We all understand, and that's quite a lot of people! As I said before, even making a cup of tea is a struggle, and no one apart from us CAN understand. My baby has found new energy in the past few days too, how odd. Constantly moving, especially at night when you worry he's uncomfortable or something.
The HV is probably coming to see if you're feeling well (mentally!), because you're moving house this late in pregnancy. Hee hee. But you sound like you're getting sorted, as in keeping all the baby stuff together and ready.
As for that last bit, well, get yourself shopping! That's what the internet is for... All I'm missing I think is a baby monitor...
You won't need a cot yet anyway. Or the carseat if you're having a home birth, or a pool really - that's what baths are for. So there, nothing for you to worry about:wall:0 -
Agutka I love how you're always optimistic
Isn't the tiredness so weird - as if making a cup of tea is last years equivalent to, I don't know, an afternoon shopping or half a day at work. Getting out of a chair is an achievement and walking up the stairs, well, I feel like I should get a treat every time I manage it. Mind you that's partly because the cats make it an obstacle course.
I worry about the baby being uncomfortable too - usually when he's made ME uncomfortable, I just think how can he fit in that way (assuming it's something to do with him turning rather a lot) and surely there's not enough room. I am getting paranoid about his head now too whenever I bend down. I got completely out of breath and almost broke a sweat the last time I tried to wear trainers and do up laces
You're right, the cot can wait, OH's mum bought us a moses basket so baby has somewhere to sleep. Baby has clothes. And I have breasts. What am I worrying about?! But I'm paranoid about needing to go into hospital so will get the stupid car seat anyway. I do want a water birth, but OH is being my researcher on that now so things aren't as bad as I tell myself. Got to remember that baby can be two weeks late - meaning I have 7 whole weeks to get ready - that's aaaaages. Ages and ages. So for now I'll complain at having too much to do, in a month I'll be bored.
On that note, a long soak in the bath is in order.0 -
No baby for me yet either. Due tomorrow if hosp is right?!! Here's hoping.
Had a migraine all night so had to go for bp check today. All was well though and she said if nothing happened by next thurs she will give me a sweep which is usually enough to start second pregnancies off. If that doesn't work will be induced a couple of days later due to bp! At least the end is in sight!!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Hi All!
Just after a bit of advice, have any of you flown between 30-34 weeks into your pregnancies?
I really want to get over to visit my family who have recently moved to Spain but this isnt going to be possible until at least a month or so.Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!
Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -
hi, no i didnt fly so late i flew at 27 weeks though and airline said theyd take me until i was 33 weeks. it can vary with different companies.
i am having a sweep tueday 11th if nothing has happened by then, hoping it does though, had a bit of an emotional day as can no longer fasten maternity trousers and have NOTHIN to wear, well except a dree that i have from primark, not really my style, was bought as a beach cover up for holidays! my mat stuff is size 12 and presumed would last me through? there not over the bump type though maybe thats why? is it cos bump has dropped?
i just feel so fat and awful and fed up now i want to have the baby and lose some weight, i do get depressed about weight sometimes as i was very big in the past and lost it all, got married got pregnant and put three stone back on!! arrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
was even crying to hubby that i have a big baby so that allows for the huuuge bump!
also i cant stop eating digestive biscuits even though i know i shouldnt does that mean they are a craving?! or im just a fatty!0 -
Hi emma, stop fretting about weight, I'm now in size 16 maternity (from a size 12/14) and I'm the same. I have nothing left to wear. I am washing and wearing the same three outfits as I am determined not to spend any more money on "fat clothes". Once you've had the baby the weight will drop of because you'll never stop!! Lucky you, your getting your sweep the day before me! I really hope it works for you. The end is in sight at last for a few of us, and once babies are here and we've been up for four nights in a row we'll all be on parent club asking what have I done lol!!!
Rachel, I hope your blood pressure keeps down, I think they make it worse by making a fuss about it and stressing you out, thats what they did with me anyway. Its worked out that we've all got a sweep one after another, Emma being first!! Wonder who'll go first now then. :T :TThey took my signature away!!!!0 -
my friend has just loaned me some of her maternity things so at least i can wear something for next few days! i havent bought that much no maternity tops just long tops - that now arent long enough! and some trousers and shorts - that now wont fasten! i dont want to have to buy anything else. i think i feel extra big as i have started to swell up and have gone upto now with no swelling, i have been very lucky i suppose!
hope things get moving for us three over the next few days! someone has to "pop" soon!
(please be me please be me please be me :rotfl: )0 -
Not sure if anyone would be interested: Maternity and nursing bras are reduced in M&S - I got 2 for £3 each, very pretty and don't look like scaffolding:D
Thanks so much for this! Went to Warrington Gemini today and managed to get a mixture of 6 maternity/nursing bras for £14!!! and that was even in my size of, wait for it, 42F! :rotfl:

SB, if I can ask such a personal question, what were you pre-pregnancy? I was 36D and am now in 40E maternity bras so maybe I'll hit 42F for nursing bras? Great bargains though :money:
Emma I've outgrown some of my maternity trousers already, it's depressing, and it could be the end of October before I pop, well of course all my maternity wear is for summer and I'm not buying things that I'll only wear for three seconds. I do find my over the bump trousers are far more comfy than anything under the bump though. I cannot wait to wear something normal.0
