James Henry arrived safely weighing in at 11lb 3ozby section.
congrats!
yorkshirechick, i can tell you that the early stuff feels exactly like wind, because when im not pregnant i have felt the exact same sensation! even to the point where i said to my OH "if i didnt know better".... lol
drink something cold and sugary about 1/2 hour before you get to your scan and that should wake up your baby so it kicks for you0 -
Hey everyone!
Haven't posted for a while as there's been lots going on but have been checking in and keeping up to date with everyone...
We've been painting and decorating (hard work but so satisfying when it's done!) been on holiday to Cornwall for 10 days which was fab! I'm 29 weeks at the moment and feeling pretty good so far (touch wood) had the odd bad night (sleepless, tummy cramps, little one in awkward position) but on the whole bump seems to be behaving!
Talking about going into labour etc.. with DS1 I woke up to painful contractions at around 5am and he was born by 10am! With DS2 my waters broke in the middle of the night (woke up to a soaking wet bed and it scared me to death as I didn't realise that they could trickle out and I had no idea what it was still coming out of me!! ) and he was born at 6.45pm that night... I spent some of that labour in the birthing pool but the actual delivery was on the bed but the birthing pool was wonderful.. really seemed to help.
So I'm intrigued to see how this one will start!!
Hope everyone is well and congratulations to all the newbies and the new parents.:j Ellie (Eleanor) Sophie arrived 10 days late on 19th November at 8.21am. 9lbs 1 oz :j0 -
Oh, oh, look, CG & HC you're both due on the same day!! :j
Well, the MW came to see me yesterday morning at 9:30am (she arrived the minute DH had gone out to get me a McD's breakfast) so I didn't have to wait in all day
. BP has gone back to normal and protein is lower so no hospital visit for me :j. Hope it was just a blip and I will still be OK when I'm checked again on Thurs.
Rachel, hope everything went well at your appointment yesterday?
Dormouse, thanks for your story! So glad all went well and I'm pondering the waterpool thing now!
Yorkshirechick, I'm sure that will be your baby! Let us know how your scan goes.
Congrats, Ella! Hope you and your son, James, are doing well!

Hi
This a wonderful thread and just what I need to relax me and calm my nerves. This is our first baby and really excited. Have my 20 week scan on 4th Sept and want to find out the sex if baby cooperates. I'm 18 weeks +5 and haven't really bought anything except for the matching cot & wardrobe that I got on ebay for a really good price... couldnt resist the bargain. Have people got any buggy/pushchair recomendations? I can't believe how expensive these things are!!!

well, i cant tell you a lot about it as it hasnt been used yet, but we bought this http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Product.asp...elgraco/709824
now i HATE travel systems (so that picture looks dead ugly to me - here is a better one http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Content/Pro...709824_l_b.jpg) but its not going to be used as one! we just loved the fact it was chocolate and cream coloured suede type material and came with the car seat, auto base, foot muff, changing bag and rain cover for under £200
I still have my daughters pram and that will be the main one, but its not really car practical as its a proper 3 in 1 so we needed a second to stash in the boot0 -

Hi all, its been a while since I was on this thread so it's been great catching up with all the news and the new births .... 11lbs ... eeeek!
I have just found out I've got chicken pox .... cripes! Fortunately I am 33 weeks so there is no danger to the baby, so long as he doesnt come early. I have spent a couple of days in a panic though and have been finding out as much info as possible. I have only just calmed down and accepted the baby WILL BE FINE! There seems to be more risk to me in terms of pneumonia which can actually be fatal if you get it through chicken pox whilst pregnant but I assume that is people who werent very healthy in the first place.
I am very, very glad I stopped smoking when I found out I was pregnant - for obvious reasons but more so now as there could have been added complications with that if not!
I only said to hubby yesterday that I was finally relaxing about the baby as at 33 weeks even if he came early we would be fine - and then this happens!
It's nice to see the list moving up too - gosh not long to go now for a lot of us!0
