Thanks Alison, I'm sure I am worrying unecessarily, just want to get the scan over with and fingers crossed we can start telling people our wonderful news. Good luck with your scan too.


Rose - am so sorry to hear your news , hope tomorrow is OK. These things do happen for a reason, but that doesn't help the pain you must be feeling. We lost a baby 2 years ago, I am still getting over it.
It definitely brought hubby and I closed together though, and has made us that much more excited this time round.
I too had doubts last time due to my employment status, but was still devastated.

AFAIK when the waters break it could be loads or it could be a trickle, but the liquid should keep coming - you'd need a pad in all the time. If this was just a one-off, my guess would be it's not the waters.

So what did the MW say?

(When my waters went with DS, it was a big gush , and it kept trickling out for the next 47 hours until he was born. I think I read it that your body keeps producing amniotic fluid even after they have broken.)

Those who work, how long after giving birth do you expect to go back to work. I have been doing rough calculations and it looks like maximum time i could take off is 5 months. My hubby will be at university so baby wont be with the child minder all the time,but still, i will just have to make those 5 months really count
