Newleafer - Hiya. I get the weirdest and wonderful pains. Initially at 5 weeks I went to the GP as I had, had an early M/C this year and was very worried. After ruling out an ectopic with some early scans now I just accept that I am getting funny pains - from weird pressure pains when I wee, to period type pains to stabbing sharp pains when I cough, move funny or hiccup. I hope thats a bit reassuring. However if you are still worried you should see your GP.

Lou - Hiya. I had my booking in last week and was a bit dissapointed it was all a bit boring - Lots of paperwork really. Still it is exciting as it makes it all seem a bit more real! There is nothing to worry about honest.

  • Got sent a Mothercare code via email for 10% off everything until the 27/08/07. Just quote A7M at checkout. I know there are a couple of £10 or £15 off codes floating around, but this is a good one if you are making a big purchase! Hope that helps someone : )

I've got my booking appt this afternoon (am 11+2) and am getting nervous, silly isn't it!

    Have a good day everyone,
    Lou x

hi, i had my booking appointment at about 8 weeks, but had my first scan today and am spot on my dates 11 +5 so we are due about the same time. Lots of paperwork at first appointment and then the midwife doesn't see you for weeks. Hope it goes OK.

As above Scan dates were the same as my dates I had, midwife had given me due date of 2nd March as she said 40 weeks plus so many days. At scan they have given me due date of 28 Feburary (which is what i worked it out as) and said to use that as my due date. Which is right though. Anyone had dates right but conflicting due dates.
    now mum of 4!!!

My midwife used a wheel thingy and worked my dates out at 30th Jan, the scan said dates were fine but gave due date as 27th Jan, yesterday at the hospital the midwife says she takes off three months and adds a week to last period date so 2nd Feb! I'm still going off the scan date but as long as baby make an appearance sometome I don't mind!

Ooh, 28th Feb? You could end up with a leap year baby on 29th Feb! (Very MSE as could claim you only need to buy presents every 4 years ;) )

38 weeks today. DS was born at 38+5, so I'm hopeful. ;)

Was super weepy this morning, again, but that's probably due to tiredness (yet another rubbish night's sleep :(). Also have been having quite painful twinges, but they seem to have settled.
