Still can't help visiting this thread, even though I am no longer pregnant and definitely not TTC!
Congratulations TerminallyShort and Dormouse - you have my sympathies! The last few weeks/days are horrendous - just hang on in there, it'll all be worth it in the end.
My little one is five weeks old already and feeding regularly! He has been putting on about a pound a week though so it's doing him some good. By the way - the waking once a night thing was just a honeymoon period to lull us into a false sense of security!
I will get round to posting some photos. Have been meaning to get some photos online for ages. I also want to do the Jessops free photos offer before that expires. I don't know where the days go!
Lastly - I've just been nosing at the Book People website as they have some good offers on and spotted a cute Kipper Baby Memory book for £1.99 HERE
Glad all is going well, Jo and looking forward to seeing a pic of you LO!
Thanks for the Book People link. I have just ordered Kipper books for SIL and me - I only had to pay for one as I had enough points to get the other one free! - and, in true MSE style, I used a free P&P code from HUKD!
If anyone wants the code then PM me as I'm sure I'll get told off for posting it here!

I am just back from the doctors for another urine test and wow, what a difference seeing a good doctor makes, I wish I had gone to him before. He said the amount of protein present is almost negligible, and is probably an infection that is so mild it's not giving me any grief so I wouldn't know I have it. He said they do get the odd case of bad pre-eclampsia ('about once every 20 years') and said I really shouldn't be worrying but if I do, to give them a call and get some reassurance rather than sit at home panicking. 27 years ago I suppose he saved my life when my mum had a heavy bleed on Christmas day so I suppose I can have a bit of faith in what he said today
Glad all turned out OK, Fac. I'm sure we would all love to have such a fab Dr! Take care of yourself x0 -
Hi all!
I was very surprised when i got up this morning to find two dry patches on my pyjama top! Boobs leaking already!(sorry if TMI)
I'm almost 21 weeks & i know this happens but i didnt expect it just yet!
My husband found it very amusing & made some joke about not having to buy anymore milk as we had it on tap! :rotfl:Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!
Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -
Hi,
I'm just having a panic today. I'm 8 weeks today and last night I had a pain across my belly that didn't go away this morning, so I git worked up about and called in sick. I spoke to the Dr this am and he wasn't too concerned as I'm not bleeding, but did want a urine sample just in case its a bladder infection, which I have to wait til tomorrow for results. But all day I have just been feeling werid, aches and pains in tummy and absolutely shattered and no energy at all I can't face making dinner. I've not even eaten well today. I've been really fortunate not to have much sickness but this keeps worrying me that I may mc. Sorry to moan but I dont like talking to DH in case he panics.0 -
newleafer, I'm sorry you're feeling so bad today. Speaking to the docs is prob the best thing to do and it's good that they're testing NOW so if there is an infection you can get it sorted asap.
I had a few days between 6 and 8 weeks where I felt terrible pain/cramp and was convinced I would start bleeding - such an awful feelingJust look after yourself, eat little and often if you can, and REST - basically listen to your body. Phone in sick if you need to and put your needs first above all else. Cramp is very likely to be some growing/stretching pains at this stage as that little bean gets bigger and bigger.
Sometimes I've struggled to tell OH how I've felt in case he worries but he always makes me feel better so do talk to your DH if you can, but you can always come here when you need to, to share good or bad feelings, it's just good to share with people who have been there sometimes
Hope you start to feel better x0 -
He has been putting on about a pound a week though so it's doing him some good.
. Glad everything's going well.
And thanks for the Book People link - I love Kipper! I was actually thinking of ordering some other stuff from them as well, so this is great! :j0 -

Oh, and it's a boy!!!
We don't need to buy clothes as we still have DS' things.
Babes got really long legs too, takes after DH already
Glad everything went well :T0 -
