3KIDSNOMONEY

any advice please as i am so worried.

been away last week and on about 3 occasions in the evening i had severe bloating. i am only 11 weeks pregnant but looked 8 months. felt a bit rubbish all week too. daren't scan the internet as i am worried about what i will read.

anybody else had this.

HIya, I'm pretty sure using a jacuzzi is a big no-no. As to the full bladder i think it depeneds on the hospital and how modern their equipment is. I had to drink the pint of water before mine...

3kids - I was HUGE during the first trimester, and it was all bloating :rolleyes: as all of a sudden my 'bump' all but dissapeared, so i wouldnt worry too much

scruffy - Jacuzzi -I have heard of people who do, and i have heard of people who dont... i think there are rules about not doing it in the first tri and obviously dont have it too hot... maybe you should give it a google,

and no you dont need a full bladder (thank god) at your next scan, baby is big enough thats its pushed all that other stuff out of the way itself

I wondered about this too but my anomaly scan (20 week) letter says remember to drink two pints of water or still juice before the appointment then says in block capitals that my appointment might be cancelled if I do not have a full bladder. This could just be a routine letter for all scans though or it could just be that my hospital has old equipment - I wouldn't be surprised - they cancelled my blood tests on Friday because they had no staff in that day!! When I phoned up to say I couldn't make the new date as I would be on holiday she hummed and hahed over various dates saying things like "Hm, no staff that day" and "Oh, the girl in that day doesn't know how to take blood". Am slightly concerned that when the time comes they might say "Oh can you come back on Tuesday, there's no one in today who knows hw to deliver a baby!"

Anyway, finally decided I can go in tomorrow and have them done so I might ask while I'm there about the full bladder business - is it just my hospital or does everyone's hospital ask you to go with a full bladder then make you sit 45 minutes before the scan???

hi all
guess what i did yesterday.............

ran over a cat :eek:
i slammed the brakes on so hard that i have left mighty skidmarks (on the ROAD :rotfl: ) it was awful, the cat didnt die though but i did hit it - i thought i hadnt cos it walked away but when i got home and told hubby he checked car and ive broke the fog light thingy

i cried for about an hour and felt so guilty - for the poor cat (i have a cat of my own) then for being irresponsible and slamming the brakes on when im 36 weeks pregnant and thinking have i harmed the baby. :mad: feeling movment though so all fine but just feel sooooooooooooooooo bad

this morning my back is killing me

as for the weight thing, just been cathing up with the thread.......... i was doing fine gaining around a pound to two pound a week - this week have gained 4 pounds which takes my wright gain upto just under 3 stone, at 36 weeks. i hope i do not carry on gaining so much i thought it slowed down towards the very end?

i also feel guilty for every comment i have ever made to any pregnant person in my life as i really get fed up with peoples comments now - "not long now eh" and the great "god, look the size of you" :mad: for some reason just really wind me up

awww emma, glad your ok,
there was a crash outside my house late last night, stupid boy racers speeding round the corner, hit a wall, turned the car over and took out half of someones garden....
was all fun and games for a while, had so many emergency lights flashing outside it looked like a rave in my front room!
(apparently they all got out alive.. call me harsh but its more than they deserve... sorry but if you live in an area favoured by boy racers you wouldnt be bothered about seeing a few stuck up a lamp post either, they are a bloody danger to all of us)

ive just re-read a few of my last posts and i would like to apologise now if im not my normal self this week (i think im coming across a bit hormonal)
its the anniversary of my best friend dying on saturday and i dont normally take it well, but with all these extra hormones and the like im a bit of a mess,
i barely got through her birthday last month so im not looking forward to the weekend...
to make it worse someone has started a thread about SADS in discussion time and i should probably be staying away from it.... but im like a dog with a bone when people try and school me on stuff I have been through and i probably wont be able to keep my mouth shut (or fingers still)

so sorry.... if you think im going to bite you, just throw a cookie at me
at the very least i will be distracted so you can make a waddly getaway
