SeptemberBaby and Fac, try not to worry until you have the results. It may have just been one of those things. I think my red blood cells were below normal as I saw the 'watch these' highlights on doc's computer, but she's said nothing, so I'm going to not worry about it until the next bloods. Hope you find out soon that it was a false alarm!
CG - I hate the 'passing out' sleeps I've had. They make you feel much worse. Just give into it and spend your time in the proximity of your bed...
izoomzoom - hope your BP is back to normal by now...
About the age thing. I've attended lots of classes and have not come across anyone looking younger then 30. Where are these all these teenagers you keep hearing about. These were all first time mothers as well. So we're all normal...:wall:0 -

I agree though most of us in my NCT group are mid 30s and the people at the NHS classes were about half mid-late 30s and half youngsters so it's not a big deal really. Although I do get annoyed at my mate who is the same age as me (34) who wants to have her 3rd 'before she's too old' when I've yet to pop number one :rolleyes:0 -
I think your rigth Justie,I'll hang on a while before making any decisions. I'm not struggling yet as my bump is only just starting to make an appearance.
Anybody know how Welshlassie is getting on? I've noticed she's not been around in last last few days! Fingers crossed!!
On another note i have my very heavily pregnant sister & my niece coming to stay with me as from next wk. My family are all moving to Spain! But as my sister is so far gone she's not going out there straight away.
She had a MW appointment yesterday and baby is already 2/5 engaged! She's not actually due until 20th Sept. There's no way she'll last that long & the MW agreed! I'm her birthing partner again so i can't wait!!Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!
Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -
My ones are spreading very slowly - a new line per week or so, but I started early, so they know they have plenty of time to get there  . I can't imagine what my belly will look like by the time I'm the size of a house... Ick.
I can actually feel them forming! Gross.
Hope yours don't get too energetic...
buy some bio oil (although its not that cheap) and rub this onto the stretch marks, or put a few drops in the bath (second thoughts dont put it in the bath as its oily and i dont want anyone slipping on my recommendations) it helps stop stretch marks from appearing and helps fade the ones that are there.:Tnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -

She even tested with two dipsticksto make sure! They will only let me know if there is a problem and then maybe more antibiotics
Hope you are feeling OK and thanks for the link x
Thanks, Dormouse and Caleo! I hate it when there is something else to worry about...I have another appointment on the 20th so hopefully my sample will be on top form by then :rotfl:x
Hope everything goes well at your next appointment SeptemberBaby and fac. I think it's awful mw has stressed you out like that fac, like that's really going to help!!! I spoke to a friend after my appointment and she had the protein in the urine thing and very high bp. She ended up spending a few days in hospital. But she now has a beautiful 3 year old girl. Like she said the worst thing you can do is worry (not easy I know) but as long as you are being looked after that is the main thing. Take care and hope next results are better. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

After reading that there is nothing you can do to stop stretchmarks, I gave up on trying to stop them. But I did make my mother buy some of the oil yesterday to help with her appendix scar and I am planning to steal it to fade them later. In the meantime I managed to cover myself in it last night. And it smells gorgeous. Nicer than the palmers, which has been so useful so far .
PS Another slept through night!! :j Seven hours this time. Bliss!:wall:0 -
Another rubbish night for me. DS and I had a mega nap yesterday afternoon, so he was not in the mood for sleeping at night. We ended up having toast at 2.30am - good practice for when the baby comes, I guess. :rotfl:
CG - great news about you measuring the same as your dates! :T
Izoom - phew, what a nightmare. Sounds like the sort of situation I would end up in... Enjoy your holiday - you need it now!
Fac and SB - I know it's impossible not to worry, but look what everyone's said - we've all had dodgy samples at some point. As long as the BP is fine, I think that's the main thing. :grouphug:
My ankles and feet have been so swollen, but at this stage in pregnancy and this time of year, what else can you expect? My Mum tends to panic when I tell her about the swelling, but I'm just trying to be realistic.
And about starting mat leave, I'm glad I started when I did (34 weeks?). I could not imagine working now - it's like my brain has switched off completely (yeah, what brain? :rotfl: ). I have no energy whatsoever most of the time (my nesting stage was very short-lived ), so it's just a case of incubating at the moment.0 -
Glad to see there are a few of you around the same age... I was was beginning to panic as I'm 34 (only!) but I had my daughter at 20 so it seems so long ago. My first appointment is on 11 sep and I will be 12 weeks then but having been worried about the increase of downs etc as there seems to be so many tests to have - cant really remember that much from 14 years ago lol:p19.6.10 Weight loss 6lb0

i got my letter ages ago and my odds were something like 1 in 11,000 or something but i still keep panicking and thinking baby will be born with downs syndrome or some other syndrome and how will i cope
are these fears normal?
emma this is normal hun as us women are born worriers lol, but i'm sure everything is fine with your bump and you.
btw i'm 34 and i think even if it had come back as something to worry about it wouldn't sway me from having the baby, but would give me time to look up info to help and support groups.
anyway hun like i said u'll be fine xxxxxxxxx1st son born 11/02/05 2nd son born 09/01/08
thats all i'm adding to the human race so think yourselfs lucky lol0 -
