Have fun mirrorimage0
We found out the sex simply cos we're too impatient to wait til the birth:rolleyes: Also found it helped dd who was 33months when ds was born, to get used to the idea of having a little brother called Ryan.
Baby no3 kept its knees tightly crossed thru the whole scan - we thought about keeping it a surprise - but we'd have to wait 4 whole months - nah! we'll go get a 4d scan:j which dh wouldn't even consider before.
Dd is convinced baby has to be a girl - cos she doesn't want ANOTHER brother. She keeps suggesting names: Alisha, Janisha, Kanisha, Wanisha - can you see a pattern?0 -
We haven't found out what we're having. It was actually hubby that that didn't want to know and I kinda just went along with it but now happy I don't know.
I think you find out so many things these days that thats one of the only things I get a choice on and it will be nice surprise !!
29 weeks gone...due date 26th OctoberMum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
we didnt want to know what we were having then we went for a 4d scan and were very tempted so we flipped and coin and the coin chose!! we no know we are having a girl and its nice to know! although we have only told our parents (and you lot!!) so the rest of family friends are still kept guessing

My ones are spreading very slowly - a new line per week or so, but I started early, so they know they have plenty of time to get there  . I can't imagine what my belly will look like by the time I'm the size of a house... Ick.
I can actually feel them forming! Gross.
Hope yours don't get too energetic...:wall:0 -
Alisha, Janisha, Kanisha, Wanisha
I ummed and ahhed over finding out the sex, OH wanted to wait. I convinced him that finding out was a good thing in the end and I'm really pleased we know. The surprise would be exciting I'm sure, but I'd have gone insane by now and I think it's helping me to think about when the baby is here. Certainly helps with name choosing...
I have stretch marks and it's like they just climbed onto my tummy one night while I slept and set up camp there like a little hippy commune - i.e. there's LOADS. I am consoling myself with chocolate.
Today is my first day of proper maternity leave. I don't know what to do really. Clean? Ha ha.0 -
Blimey your on maternity leave already !! I'm giving up work Oct 12th and baby due Oct 26th !!!
Only have a few stretch marks on my boobs at the minute so crossing my fingers thats all I get.
By the way are you doing antenatal classes... I cant decide whether to or not.Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
I was originally going to work till mid-Sept but am totally fed up of it. Also, I work in education and the holidays are horrendously quiet. Add to that the heat of the place, some nightmare managers, annual leave that needs to be taken, and the fact that I'm not likely to return - I thought what the hey, have an extended break. Finishing two weeks before your due date though, brave!
As for antenatal classes, well... I had my first one on Tuesday with the NHS and it felt like a waste of time, it was VERY basic. We were asked what we thought the signs of labour might be, for example, and the section they called 'coping strategies' turned up to be a discussion on where to stick TENS padsThere is one more session in two weeks, and we can't decide whether to bother. In fact we considered leaving during the break but OH thought it would look rude!

My stretchmarks on my hips have new friends: stretchmarks on the inside of my thighs - what's that all about???
They only appeared in the last couple of weeks, but they're getting more and more noticeable every day. Very attractive, but then again, I'm not likely to wear a mini skirt any time soon. :rotfl:
My belly is nice and smooth though, so that's one good thing.
There really is no logic whatsoever when it comes to stretchmarks.0 -
There isn't, is there. We should offer our services to secondary schools, talk to the teenagers about what this is like, that'd put a stop to teenage pregnancy, surely.
Mind you being so young your body probably just bounces back anyway. I'd better watch it or I'll get bitter. I don't suppose we do this to improve our figures though - or our bank balances, shall I go on or stop there0
