i went to midwife yesterday and my BP is very high so i have to "rest" now till friday and get a home visit to check it again. they did it three times at mw and it stayed high. has anyone else had high BP, or just a wierd one off high reading, which is what im hoping mine was?0
-
What was your BP actually ?0
-
it was 140/93 (they did it three times and that was the lowest they got and recorded)
it has been 120/60 ish all way through
MW said there isnt a cut off mark for "high" BP really, it goes on what individuals usually are, so mine has gone up quite a bit.
i wasnt busy yday though i had had a really relaxed morning0 -
Hi Emma
My BP was 130/80 at 10 weeks which they considered higher than average but its been exactly the same at each appointment until last week when it was 135/82. MW said they will just keep an eye on me (seems to be their answer to all my discrepancies!).
Put your feet up - I'm sure its nothing to worry about

thanks, i am just frustrated more than anything i think as now hubby and mum and MIL are all on at me to chill out and relax
its not like im running marathans, im just cleaning really and shopping most days!0 -
sorry to hear that emma it may just be a blip but you should really rest and rest properly to try and get it down again to more your usual levels - and it is about your usual levels not about an average for everyone else. Hope it settles down.
I'm feeling great today as we tried our birth pool yesterday so I spent a blissful hour floating around and trying not to fall asleep in the pool and then slept like a log last night (and only had to get up and go to the loo twice :j ). Only problem now is working out to empty it as we didn't order the pump to try and save money :rolleyes:0 -

I'm now being seen fortnightly and if its still off the scale next week I will be referred to a consultant. I've already been cleared for diabetes so thats one thing crossed off the list...hope baby was just having a bad day and doesn't turn out to be a 'whopper'!

Hi, I'm measuring off the scale for my last two visits now as well. First time nearly a week ahead and last time a week and a half ahead (Measuring 35 1/2 weeks at 34 wks). Not as much as you I know but it still worries me. Mw seems completely unconcerned but I am going to bring it up at next visit. She said charts are mainly to monitor for small babies but I am going to bring it up again. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I've generally had good sleeps for the last few nights - don't want to jinx it, but it makes such a difference to the rest of the day. Here's hoping this will continue right up until the birth :j
Hey SeptemberBaby, remember we were talking about that tummy line thing? Well, I'm finally getting one - at 36 weeks(if it wasn't for DH I wouldn't have noticed it as I haven't seen my lower tummy in weeks now

Good idea miss-pink as these lot seem very good at getting pregnant!
Have been using the ovulator predictor tests this month. Apparently I haven't ovulated at all and I know I was testing at the right time. I understand that some women don't actually ovulate every month. Has anyone else experienced this? Will I still have a period?
Am starting to think there's something wrong with me:A I can fly :A0
