:rotfl: Lucky you! When I was woken up by the loud thump of my OH falling out of bed a few nights ago, next thing I knew a hand came flying to hit me in revenge . Except I was at that precise moment miles away on my side of the bed, away from my pile of pillows, so they got the brunt of his displeasure.
Holding your hand till you fell asleep... I'll have to dream that one :rotfl:
He has adamantly denied it of course
that just really made me laugh0 -

my mum is making the curtains (yellow background with cute bugs on)
and basically the rest of the room will look like this, we are going to paint the room yellow, and we have this border and these stickarounds
http://www.nursery-rooms.co.uk/Farm-stickarounds.shtml
ut at the moment, the room is FULL of crap
we will get round to it eventually
Oh, how cute are these!!! Never even thought of something like that...I just love the little sheep ones! We've also opted for yellow even though we know the sex but unfortunately no one in my family can sew :rotfl:so its shop bought curtains for us
I just have to have the nursery perfect before baby comes along even though she won't see it for a while. DH and I love looking and choosing so it hasn't been a chore one little bit. The hard part was taking 6 cars full of 'junk' to the tip :rotfl::o

I can't believe this is probably going to be eels' last day on the thread. It Seems like all the old stalwarts (its a compliment, honestly) of this thread are ready to pop now. I actually feel like something of a thread veteran and i'm only 19+2!
To all of you verging on the big day, the very best of luck. I'm gonna miss you for the next 4 months or so.
I had no idea that 'crunchy nuts' were nuts either!:rotfl: I had just been praising myself for giving up smoking and drinking on the eve of conception, depriving myself of a lot of my favourite foods and so on, only to discover that i am not quite the supermum that i thought i was.
We are renters and we don't have enough money for anything fancy in the nursery, so we've got very much an MSE themed nursery. DH and i have painted several canvases with bright pictures of animals (we're not particularly good painters, but hopefully the baby wont mind), we've adapted a desk into a changing station, an old armchair with a throw makes a lovely nursing chair, we've made a window seat out of an old blanket and some cushions on the window sills and we have cleared all of our junk out of the fitted wardrobes for the baby's stuff and we spent about 15 hours measuring alphabet letters onto a4 pieces of paper, painting each one a different colour, cutting them out and sticking them on to the wardrobe doors. From a distance, they almost look designer. We have also got some nursery rhyme type posters that we have stuck on the top cupboards. Unfortunately we have no choice but to have a spare double bed in the baby's room but i am going to make some child type bedding for it and we will use it as a supervised play area.
A woman at my work went for her nuchal fold scan and got told she was over 6 weeks less pregnant than she thought. now she has to go through all the worry of the first trimester again and it turns out she conceived after her period was due, ie her period was already late, and then she conceived. I've never heard of someone being this much less pregnant than they thought before.:j Baby bonce was born on Christmas morning after a ridiculously short labour and no pain relief! If only losing the baby weight was as easy!:T0 -

we rent aswell,
im allowed to paint the room as long as we put it back to magnolia before we leave, and the stickers are all removable (the border was about £5 and the stickarounds were about £10, maybe less)
as i said, mum is doing the curtains but for all the time and effort (if they ever actually get done) and the fact i will have to hear about it forever i will probably end up buying some anyway... its cheaper all round if you know what i mean
we have some old wooden shelf units that used to hold my video collection for which we have bought value baskets from tescos to fill with baby clothes, and we have a canvas covered thing that my sister gave us,
the cot was my DDs, and i got a lamp from https://www.nurseryandtoys.com when i bought a load of cheap blankets and sheets recently,
also have an under cot drawer which cost almost nothing from there too....
my main bug bear is i need a nursing/feeding chair, but gliders are so expensive,
we have an arm chair in the front room that doesnt really get used and would be perfect if we moved it upstairs, but its so big... and the babys room is the box room....0 -
thanks for that link CG, i have been looking for a cheap underbed drawer.:j Baby bonce was born on Christmas morning after a ridiculously short labour and no pain relief! If only losing the baby weight was as easy!:T0
