Hi, Added Myself To The Pregnancy List A While Ago But Date Has Now Changed To 2nd March. I Am Going To Try To Keep My Legs Crossed Too As I Don't Want A 29 Feb Baby.
Its Mad All The Things We Are Told To Avoid And Even Though This Is My Third I Feel Lost. Ate A Cook/chill Ready Meal A Few Weeks Back And The Guilt Is Terrible. The Worst Thing For Me Is Being Hungry But Feeling Sick And Having To Cook For 3 Kids.
I Love To Read This Thread. Told The Kids About The Baby On Friday Although I Am Only Just Over 8 Weeks. Struggled With My Conscience As Whether To Tell Them Or Not But As My Scan Isn't Until 12 Weeks I Couldn't Wait. Does Anyone Have An Opinion On Whether To Take The Kids To The Scan. Would Love Them To Be There But I Know That Things Can Be Wrong With Baby And Don't Want To Mess With Their Heads. Advice Please!!!now mum of 4!!!0 -
i didnt want my daughter at the first scan, as i know too many people who got bad news at that one, but then i didnt want her at the 20 week scan as thats the time they can pin point specific problems and i didnt want bad news infront of her....
but now that we know everything is alright, she is coming with us to the 4D scan in a few weeks,
can i suggest you do what we did, we took our digital camera to the 10 week scan and asked the MW if we could record a few seconds of film at the end of the scan to show DD....the MW we had that day was a bit of a stroppy cow to be honest, and she still let us... so a nice one probably wouldnt think twice about saying yes

SeptemberBaby - ive been in tears this morning because i felt so rotten...
as much as i love and want this baby, almost 6 months of being sickly, unable to sleep and really uncomfortable, with another long hot 4ish months to go....
ugh,
i just wanted my OH to stay home from work and look after me, but he cant take a day off everytime i dont want to get out of bed! :rolleyes:0 -
We took DS to the 20-week scan but not the 12-week one. TBH it was mainly due to the fact we had no-one to look after him that day!
But at least we had the reassurance of the first scan, although I was still worried. It's one of those things you've got to decide for yourself, there's no right or wrong answer.
Sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish, SB and CG. :grouphug: I think we all know what it's like: we're meant to be blooming but TBH I'm often just bloomin' miserable!Hope you perk up soon!
We're having a really hot day today so I'm hiding indoors. Did manage a reasonably good sleep last night though (apart from a dozen or so trips to the loo ).
Fingers crossed for Eels - you're not meant to be having contractions, missus!0 -
Curious George - I am sorry you are feeling soo terrible. I have had days like that - even after 2 years TTCing I have had moments when I just feel soo rubbish that I wish I wasn't pregnant, which sounds absurd when I say it but I am totally sympathetic. Sending you lots of Hugs x:heart2:Mum to my little Daisy 3 and Archie 1.:heart2:0

Am really starting to feel left out here girlies. I'm 26 and a bit weeks, no sickness and no cravings. Have been really naughty and had peanut butter, quite a few runny eggs and still having the odd couple of ciggies a day as well ( I know I shouldnt so please no preaching!!)
Seem to be putting on weight steadily but at the moment only wearing trousers one size up (had a few in wardrobe) or normal size. Tops wise I have just bought some that are about 2 sizes bigger from Matalan as they are cheaper.....
No probs sleeping although have the odd night where I get cramp.... worst porblem I have at the moment seems to be going to the loo amd not for a wee!! can go about 2 -3 days sometimes despite cereal for breakfast, fruit and veg coming out of my ears and drinking fruit juice like its going out of fashion... I must be abnormal I think but I do have sympathy for you all that are suffering...Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
CG I really sympathise, the number of times I have felt like I hate being pregnant, but then feel incredibly guilty for thinking it - because I don't, and this baby is SO wanted, but god pregnancy is a chore at times. A good nights sleep is truly a thing of the past, I think the best sleep I've ever had in my life was probably as a teenager - that stage where you can sleep through bombs dropping... I walk like a 70 year old when I first emerge from bed, which makes those night time toilet trips even worse as by the time I get out of bed I REALLY need to go but can't exactly run down the hallway. Sick of swollen ankles, sick of having no comfortable clothes, I can't seem to find a comfortable pair of knickers in the whole of the western hemisphere and I hate wearing even my newly fitted bra's. No amount of pillows is enough in bed, and I was taking up so much room this morning that when OH tried to turn over in his sleep he fell out of bed!!
poor lamb, he didn't even complain just kissed my grumpy face and held my hand till I fell asleep again. Fed up of being breathless, I took a detour to work this morning to avoid walking up a very steep hill and it took me twice as long to get here - and I know I'll do the same tomorrow... Then, other times I think I love this and want to be pregnant forever (ha ha).
Well I have been back at work for a whopping four hours and I feel like crap. My back is aching and I feel oddly drowsy and headachey. I'm sure I should have been born rich... I only have 2.5 weeks of this to go. Can't wait.0 -
We're looking for inspiration for our nursery only we don't know what we're having. So many of the unisex designs seems to be so safe, eg, cream with a bear on. Would rather get co-ordinated range as it is easier and I am not know for my design skills!! Has anybody got any recommendations of where to look? I'm nearly 28 weeks now and starting to panic that we haven't even started buying!!! Many thanks!!0

Minskerella - We don't know what we're having either but not going to bother changing the bedroom at the moment. baby will be in with us to start with anyway and then when it does move its not really going to care what colour its room is... plus if we leave decorating at the moment can buy other things / money save at the same time...
Sometimes I think I'm far too laid back about this pregnancy !!Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
That is very true!! However, I think I'm starting to get that nesting instinct and want everything to be sorted and clean and tidy for when baby arrives!! Thinking I might be stressed out enough without babies things all over the place and a half decorated room!! There's nothing wrong with being laid back though - it is a quality I wish I had!!!0

Why dont you just decorate in a neutral colour... Our room has cream on top and a beige underneath the dado rail.. all I'm going to do is give the room a good clean (with my mums help) a month before my due date and then the odd quick rum round after that.Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0
