Lobster TV info and discussion thread (applications and reviews)

Have been trying to load some of the great utilities and applications referred to on my Lobby but am falling at the first hurdle! Tried to load the 'JGUI Vista Smartphone' (link on post #98) but get the message "Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions."

So I thought I needed to run the Application Unlock (although attempting this is a bit daunting). Downloaded the 'SDA ApplicationUnlock.zip' and the 'SP_AllowCertificateInstall.cab' files and tried to copy the .cab file over to the Lobby (by drag and drop and by using the 'copy this file' function in Windows) but it just won't copy across.

Any help greatfully received.

I am most surprised that this thread isn't get more questions & answers or lists of software available including reviews & opinions on certain software.

Is it only me and a handfull of us on here that can see that this little baby can do a lot more than the original package and for 20quid????

Hmm... strange ??? I can't see why you can't drop it in, are you getting that little no entry sign?...Anyone else have an idea?

Hi Proo Dent.

I can only imagine that you must be doing something wrong.

Perhaps you should explain in detail, exactly how you are trying to do this.

What happens when you try to copy it across to the root Dir.

Are you doing a copy/paste from the folder where the file is stored or direct from winzip?

Is it possible that the file isn't in the place where you are trying to copy it FROM as opposed to there being a prob with it's destination?

Try copy/pasting a music file over.

Have you tried installing HANGMAN on your lobby? Found it at AIRFAGEV but doesn't seem to run.

I was going to try it but i cant seem to find it on there.

Thanks rizla01. Have managed to copy over the .cab file now. :j I think it was something to do with the main zip file, which I re-unzipped to reveal the .cab file again and managed to get it to work. Will try the rest of the routine now.
