I'd love if people could just post what they were offered, what they got.0 -
I was offered £500 for a 54 plate Mondeo LX Petrol; traded it in for £1000
Went to Carcraft to look for cars but didn't appreciate the hassle from the salesmen, at our side constantly. Actually considered nipping my daughter to make her cry so we could get him off our case. Mind, she put her sticky fingers on so many of their cars they probably had to spend a fortune to clean them.0 -
Roflmao, I wouldn't trust this lot as far as I could throw them, the same applies to most of these very suspicious positive replies, employing rather weird logic..
The fact is this company say one thing when giving a quote and another when reality bites. This is deceit.
In the past 20 years I've not come across a genuine dealer who won't give a reasonably accurate quote over the phone, in fact I've happily sold most of my cars that way.
The tactic of car dealers lying in order to get business was supposed to have been eradicated many years ago.
As a guide, Coconutheid has a quite accurate and useful theory, above. Though I'd say you could treble it for a vehicle in mint condition.0 -
I was offered £2,700 for my 06 fiesta, (but I didnt put in some dents n scratches so knew I would get less.) they offered me £2,250 but I haggled them up to £2,400 which i was happy with cos the most local dealers offered me was £2,000
i waas there for about 45 mins and all in all am quite pleased.0 -
I had read many negative reviews about WBAC and was apprehensive about selling my dad's car but thought I would see for myself. I cannot believe how positive the whole experience was. Matt the sales guy was friendly and didn't !!!!! foot about. We had been offered £2550 on website and after an inspection of the Toyota Yaris we were offered £2370 so we accepted. Couldn't believe how quick it all was Saved all the hassle of trying to sell it privately and hassle free. Will definitely recommend them and will use again in the future.
I suggest that, if like me you had read a lot of negative comments give it a go and see what you are offered- you do not have to sign if you don't want to go ahead.
one thing- we had the car valeted before we went so that there was no way they could say we had any scratches or defects to hide.0 -
Post the age, mileage and exact model of your Yaris please.0

For more amusing reviews posted by webuyanycar's own staff complete with name checking themselves as per cupcake59 have a read of some of these gems. They've realised giving themselves 5 stars is a bit suspicious so have started reducing some of them to just 4 stars recently.

They also tend to blitz it with lots of their own reviews if there's a bad review as they did on the 15th August after someone dissing them on the 14th August.
Writing your own reviews is illegal0 -
A lot of people tend to look at their cars with the knowledge of e.g. how well it has served them over the last 10 years or 'how it would be a great little runner for someone else'... don't kid yourself. These guys will give you a valuation online, but if they see the car and it deviates in ANY way from your initial description, the costs will mount up rapidly. Every dent, scuff or scrape will add to it. As someone says below, 'If you have a heap with something to hide, use them
If you don't, don't.'
If you've got an old banger and there's not much profit in it anyway, then they are probably a good choice. If you're selling something valuable, you need to understand that using these types of companies will always result in you getting less than if you had taken care of the sale privately. And remember, there ARE more options out there, despite what their impressive ad campaign and jingle might suggest - for those who are trying to get rid of old bangers, you might like to check out Giveacar, a free process whereby the money raised goes to a charity of your choice (prob for the extremely generous only!)0 -
2002 Smart Car Coupe, 0.6L, 46k miles. Cheapest comparable within 50 miles on Autotrader, with slightly higher mileage, is at £2200.
Online quote from WBAC at £1100. Don't think I'll be proceeding on that.....0
