Guys - We Buy Any Car don't sell cars. You're talking about Car Craft and the guy who served me from WBAC was very keen to disassociate himself from them, even though they have the same parent company and his office is inside the branch of Car Craft. I agree with what you say about Car Craft's sales as when I was originally looking for a Streetka I looked at one they had and the mark up was ridiculous. I ended up getting an 05 plate car privately for much less than they were selling an 03 car for. Frequently they market cars that are a couple of years old for close to the retail cost you could get a new one for!

    Now there's a surprise.
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

Based on all the other newbies who join just to tell us about their positive experiences of WBAC, can i predict how that will go?
    • Generally positive
    • Fair price
    • Nice salesman
    • Easy transaction
    • Pleasantly surprised
    • Would recommend

Went there today got offered £2985 not the best price I have been offered went to a local garage and got offered £3250 probably won't sell to WBAC, will go private or sell to local garage. The salesman was ok, but they just knock to much money off for every little scratch on the car. I reckon I could get my car totally resprayed and have change over from the £765 reduction they have taken of for scratches and the odd little dent. I am a newbie but have given an honest opinion.

Like many people I wondered what WBAC actually offer so when I sold my last car I put the details into their website to compare.
My car was a 56 reg Prius with 125K so quite high mileage. I had had it as a company car and was allowed to buy it for what a local dealer would offfer as a cash purchase (£5K in 2009). I part exchanged and got £3250 for it in April this year and the dealer showed me it was the Glasses Guide price for that mileage & condition . WBAC valued it at £1800 so just over half its actual trade price. I know they are a business not a charity but 55% of the value is taking the p***! And from other posts they wouldn't even have offered that on taking to their depot so goodness only knows what I would have actually been offered in the end. I think you'd need to be pretty desperate to sell a car through them.

I have never seen soooo many new posters for one thread and all saying how good "webuyanycar.com" strange that.....however I would never use them in a month of Sunday's.

Errr... Excuse me but I'm a fairly new poster. My comment was that WBAC know that people going to them generally MUST sell their car pretty sharpish, and are therefore in a weak position.

Yes - I agree with you: I like to think I wouldn't use them again either

    How many times?
If you have a heap with something to hide, use them
    If you don't, don't.
    Simples ....
  • you have to give them some credit, they provide a very use-full service when it comes to figuring out how much to sell a car for, simply put in your details and get a price from them, double it and its about spot on, I use it all the time

Ive just been to them and sold an 07 reg c1. I've got to say we were in and out in half an hour. Got the price I wanted, ok it was a bit less than the online quote .... About 13% less. All in all, I found them fine, it's worth bartering a bit to get the price up, play the game. Haven't seen the cash in the bank yet of course as it takes 4 days but so far I found them straig forward...as others have said, you can always walk away if they're not coming up to scratch for you. :j
