Well, were taking our 2009 peugeot quoted @6500 down to the Acocks Green branch Birmingham in about 2hrs time, i'll return and give an honest opinion on what transpired ... wish me luck0

Just sold my car quick quick.
Easy sale, knocked 200 off the web price for the various marks on the car that I didn't put on the website.0 -
Last year I sold them a 10 year old banger with LOADS of problems.
Yes to me it was risk free because those problems weren't obvious and they didn't even drive it, just did one circuit around the car park. Didn't look at the engine, tyres or underneath. Just as well really.
If I'd sold it privately, I would have spent the next two months diving behind the sofa each time the door bell rang in mortal fear that the big strapping Dad of the clueless youngster that bought it was coming around to beat me up.
My car was certainly not one you could have cleaned up and stuck on a forecourt. It leaked like a sieve and was full of mould, electrical problems and rust. It gave me good service, but I sold it with an empty fuel tank the day before the tax and MOT were due.
I think I did ok actually.0 -
I did a lot of reading on this and other websites and cautiously went to our meeting with this company, expecting to be treated appallingly. I was surprised at how professional they were and how little they knocked of our valuation. This was entirely fair as I had got a quote based on no dents or scratches. We went from 5500 to 5250. We needed a quick sale and no garages were interested. Could we have got more if we held out for longer with a private sale? Yes, but we used a company for a painless quick sale.
I recommend.0 -
All depends on the car I suppose.
I checked their site when selling my Renault Clio 172. The website offer was £1800. I had bought the car from a dealer only 5 months previous for £4995 and was trying for a private sale of £4200.
I actually called them as I thought the price quoted was incorrect but it wasn't.
I sold it privately in the end for £3900.0 -
I read with amazement at some of the replies. These guys are conmen, pure and simple!
Recently they offered me £107 for a car I have just sold for £2100! Previously they offered me £750 for an old van I had which I sold and got £1750!
Need I say any more! I wouldn't go near them.
wewillbuyyourcar.com, not that I have ever used them, at least they offered £1200 for the car I just sold!0 -

I wonder if they particularly want certain cars and so offer a fair price for those whilst offering a low price for cars that are much harder for them to shift. That may explain the disparity of offers...0 -
I've been recommended by my friend - what do I do? If your friend has sold their car to us previously, they will have a unique reference number, which they need to give to you. Please quote this reference when you sell your car to us. As a thank you to you and your friend, we'll send both of you £25 in Marks & Spencer vouchers. Then, look out for an email from us with your unique reference number, so you can tell your friends and family, and earn some more £25 Marks and Spencer vouchers!
99% of our customers state that they would recommend us to family and friends, which is really encouraging to us, because we know that people just wouldn’t recommend us if they weren’t completely satisfied with the service they get at wewillbuyyourcar.com.
If anyone has previously used them and wants to PM me their unique reference number....0 -
I think Webuyanycar.com/Carcraft know that people seeking to sell their cars to them have got to sell - usually urgently. Customers are generally in a pretty weak position to start with.
In my case, I sold my Avensis in October 2007 before moving to Sweden. I received an internet valuation of £1400. This was reduced to £700, by Carcraft, using the old 'market conditions' argument - and claiming there was a break in 'service history'.
As the previous service was December 2006, and the sale date was October 2007, this seemed a tad unfair. After all, how many folks have their car serviced more than once a year?
It was good to see the Office of Fair Trading warning webuyanycar.com0 -
I was incredibly sceptical about We Buy Any Car and I'm ashamed to say in my head I had categorised them the same as the companies who do short term cash loans, or those buy now - pay double later companies. I couldn't have been more wrong and would like to make an unreserved apology!
My review is based on my experience yesterday (10th July 2012) at the Enfield Branch and I was seen by Ross Murray.
Ross was incredibly nice and friendly, making the whole experience very relaxed. He came across as very genuine and honest, which is very refreshing when it comes to dealing with car traders! At no point did I feel patronised or intimidated, which again I have found to happen quite frequently.
The whole appointment was very light hearted and I didn't feel any pressure or that WBAC would be doing me a favour if they took my car. At no point did I feel that I was being manipulated or fed false information; Ross was also very open with his explanation on how 'We Buy Any Car' operate and he gave me a clear understanding of what my expectations should be. My final valuation was slightly lower than the one given originally on the website, but I was expecting this, due to a few marks on the car and scuffs to the alloys.
I still cannot believe how easy the whole process was, from the vehicle valuation though to the paperwork, as despite my earlier reservations - I sold them my car! I am so relieved that I haven't got to keep checking eBay to see if anyone has sent me a ridiculous offer, hang around at home for private buyers to not turn up or haggle the price down, or worry that I've got to insure two cars. It is a huge weight off my mind to know that the sale is done and I know I'll sleep better now! The fact that I am now without a car for 3 days, until I pick up my next one, is a very small price to pay for peace of mind, less stress and no time wasting!
I can't recommend WBAC too highly. As long as you have reasonable expectations about what your car is worth and anything on it that might affect the value, then you won't be disappointed. I can only assume that the people who write bad reviews about WBAC are deluded about the value their car is worth, or think that WBAC is a charity. As long as you remember they are a business and that you might not get quite as much as you could on a private sale, but instead get the convenience and stress free sale, you can't go wrong! Anyway what have you got to lose? If you don't like their price you can just pick up your keys/paperwork and walk out, I did not experience any pressure sales tactics at all.
Well done WBAC, I was extremely impressed and will not hesitate to recommend you to anyone I know who wants to sell their car. I couldn't be happier with the service I received.
For all you sceptics out there - no I am not a WBAC employee and yes I did genuinely sell them my car yesterday!
I also think a lot of the negative feedback is for wewillbuyyourcar and not webuyanycar.:T0
