I too will be glad a relieved when ive made my first payment as I will be thinking this is the start of a long journey to clear my debt and hopefully can look back and thank god for this website and all the fantastic genuine people on it who are full of real life experiances and advice. And for CCCS for helping me to get out of this mess i am in.

Know that quiet feeling. Only on my second DMP payment and haven't had any phone calls, letters or even junk mail offering loans for weeks now. Seems strange that it's so quiet now.

I keep checking my online balances to see what's going on - have to wait for the statement day to pass though to see if they've stopped interest as one of them won't reply to any letter I send

  • Hi all
Welcome to the many new members, the DMP Support Club has been my Saviour on more than one occasion, for which I will be eternally grateful! So you can be sure you're among non judgemental, supportive friends!
Just a quick catch up for me, seem to have so little time recently to offer any real advice/support to anybody .... sorry!! But I do try and keep up with the thread everyday - if I leave it a couple of days it takes me a week to read all the post!!
Anyway things ok here, had a scary letter from CCCS advising me that as I had not completed the annual review all debtors queries would now be directed to me  . Rang them and it seems there had been a misunderstanding when I rang to confirm the review and they were expecting me to call them back, thankfully the lady was lovely and we completed the review there and then, painless and very helpful and its only increasing £11 p/m which I can just about afford :j . HSBC haven't paid in the charges yet should be this week at the latest. Told the lovely lady about them and with the o/d paid off and the slight increase I should be looking at a debt free date of approx 7 years - but less if I'm able to up the payments again in the future!!
Anyway my best wishes, love and hugs to you all.
    Take care.

Hi everybody, hello and welcome to all the new posters.

burkey2007 I have CC, LOAN, and OD, with HALIFAX, I've made 3 payments now to CCCs. Halifax did call alot 3 or 4 times a day. The debt is in my hubby's name so when they called he was at work and they would not talk to me, so it went on for a couple of weeks. They did ignore letters and I still dont know what they are doing about the LOAN or OD, but they have stopped interest and charges for 12 months on the CC now. The address you need to write to is HALIFAX, RETAIL BANK COLLECTIONS, PO BOX 607, TRINITY ROAD, HALIFAX, HX1 2UJ.

Hope everything is going well with everyone else.

    hi all,
seems like all is going well and we are having a good day.welcome to the new posters and my old friends(duration on thread not age, of course :D )

no post today, only for DH.think hes got a cc decline from argos.hehas an argos card but the aprs 29.9% so i said to apply for the argos cc which is about 17% and if he got it ,he could do a bal transfer to save the horrendous interest and hed get 3 months int. free but looks like its a thanks but no thanks letter.at least he knows all bout my debts and thats prob the reason :o
think its so unfair that they seem to blame him for my cr*p credit management.i know they say they dont but we know different ;) .still i tried.tells me off when i say about quidco and money saving then when it goes right he hates it, iykwim.think hes just scared that im setting credit on again(as if i could :rotfl: ).

re the fone calls i wrote on the bottom of all the token payment/cccs debt letters that i sent to only write so i could file the stuff, so when they cashed the token payments, i knew they had read it, but i think RAYDAY had a really good letter for the fone harassment.shes really good with that sort of stuff and knows what to threaten them with:D .sure she can sort any probs.shes had loads of dosh knocked off for their mistakes so i think shes the one you need.

thanks again for all your concern bout my depression.take care everyone.
    regards, xx

    hi all
    hope everyone is okay.
My son is off school at the moment as school flooded last friday (looks like it could be over a week so busy with him, he is being good though, helped me clean car but got soaked.
Had a phone call today from ge money (must admit lady was very nice but asking for arrears (i explained again cccs dmp etc and she said okay and went off the line. They have already refused dmp payment but lady on phone said they might accept next month as i had used the card once in April.
In the post today is a nice default letter from them. I have only missed 2 months payment as of yesterday and sent token payments. I dont need to tell cccs about the default do I? Thought i would be more stressed out but feel okay.
Hopefully creditors should be receiving payments from cccs soon.

bye all for now and thanks for help and comments given to me.

Hi, GE did that for me. Immediate letter saying No to the DMP because of recent use, then two weeks later they accepted. They rang constantly - two days in a row even when I'd answered (that second lady got an earful as I told them the same stuff the day before and she said yes its on the records) - eventually got a guy who said the others should have stopped the calls on the system.

So keep on telling them the same thing and eventually you will get someone who knows how to use their computer system!!! :D

Payments from CCCS go out to creditors on 25th. So not long to go before it hits them (my online accounts showed most of them actually received and updated my debt amounts on 25th).

    Hope that helps.

    hi all
sorry forgot to ask in the first month of a dmp did everyone still receive their creditors statments with charges and more interest or did some of creditors stop this straight away. Every statement i have received has added charges £12 and more interest etc.(i know this is standard etc but obviously my balances will be going up and up and not help our situation) My loan has especially increased with interest. I am worried cccs will say we can not continue with dmp if our balances go too high as i think we were borderline iva or dmp with the debt we had.
i think it is still early days and i am worrying too much but did anyone update balances with cccs to let them know debt was increasing? do you have to do this.
I am being too impatient i think and this is not going to be easy just want to know if creditors accepted or not, and i know this can take a long time i am in limbo land at the moment.

    sorry to go on

    take care all
