Good morning.
Well done sea and ym on your stars :T :T
Nothing much been happening really. I am finding it a bit hardgoing to be honest. It's not the money because for the first time in years (and I mean years) my bank a/c is still in credit but I feel a little out of control with the whole thing. I think it's because CCCS are making the payments and I keep worrying that the money is reaching the creditor and not getting lost somewhere in the system. I have received 2 statements and the money is showing on the a/c but some of the creditors don't seem to be sending me statements now. Whereas I used to receive about 30 letters a week asking for payment I am now receiving hardly anything. Do some stop sending statements when dealing CCCS/Payplan?
Anyway better go as DD is asking for her breakfast.

Good morning everyone.
I've just spent an hour catching up. I feel like the weeks are running away from me. I have been so busy I haven't had time to stop and think.
I just want to welcome all newbies to the site. It is a wondeful thing.
Sea: Congrats on your 4th star I think i'll be 90 before I get that far. (i'm only 23 now!)
Dreamer: I know exactly how you feel. I should be happy that I'm not receiving any letters but I find it slightly un-nerving. Well as they say no news is ggod news. So lets hope they are right (whoever they might be)
ILGD: I love your posts, you always make me feel better and quite often sum up exactly how i'm feeling.
DR J: Don't worry about it. You don't have to post how much you owe. Just don't feel ashamed you have no reason to, you are just as brave as all those that have disclosed there debt amounts as you have taken the huge step of dealing with them (Sorry if that sounded patronising, it wasn't meant to be)
No news in Sweety world, which I am actually worried about. I have only heard from two of my debt companies. I have not heard anything from the others not to say whether or not they have accepted or not. I also don't know if they are adding interest or if they are going to stop it. The only two I have heard from were to issue defaults and to pass my debt to a DCA.
Does anyone think I should write to them to confirm the exact balance and to find out if they are accepting my DMP or not?
I am going to try my best to pop on more often so hope to speak soon.
Take care everyone- Sweety:wall: Only Dead Fish Go With The Flow!!!

Hi Sweety, are u doing your own DMP or are you doing with someone like CCCS? Just wondering.
Im in no mans land at the moment and feel like its the lul before the storm, most my bills are due around the 22nd June and this is going to be when I offer a token payment before my CCCS DMP Plan kicks in in July.
I am very nervous about it and it is playing on my mind, I know to expect letters and calls but will be glad when its all set up and hopefully then can start to plan and look forward and know at least although a mountain of debt at 32k I will be clearing £450 / month so at least it will start to come down and I am at the point where I really dont care if my credit reports are trashed as when I get out of this mess I am just thinking that how wonderful it will be when you get paid each month and all the money is yours !!! Something to look forward to, could even bank the £450 / month and actually save something or actually buy things out right instead of on credit, I am 34 and have never been in this situation, cant beleive its took all my working life so far to find out that credit does have a nasty sting in its tail.
Anyway, like someone said to me before on this thread, stop looking back and dwelling on the past but look to the future.
All the best to all and hope you have a nice day !!::grouphug:Dmp Mutual Support thread member No 820 -
Hi XGingerX
I am with the CCCS I made my first payment in on the 1st June. I know that it is very worrying but take comfort in the fact that you are doing something positive about your debt and remember evryone is here to help.
Waiting for the phone calls and letters is worrying but if the phone calls get to much then you could always do what I did. My phone was ringing all the time and I got frightened of answering it.
I posted on here and Crafting Queen told me of a sample letter that someone had posted for her on another of her threads. I sent this to all my creditors basically telling them that they were not to contact me by phone and only by post or it would be deemed harrassment. Touch wood! to this day I have not received another phone call.
I too look forward to the day that our money is our own.
Keep positive and take care- Sweety:wall: Only Dead Fish Go With The Flow!!!

Hi, thanks for the reply, do u have a copy of that letter or remember where u found it, (Just In case), would be nice to have it to hand if needed.
ThanksDmp Mutual Support thread member No 820 -
xgingerx In my case I received fewer calls once creditors had received info from CCCS. I know it's not always the case and some people on here have been harrassed by phone calls. I will keep my fingers crossed that you don't receive too many phone calls. If you do perhaps you can ask sweety for a copy of the letter she sent.
sweety I'm glad i'm not alone in feeling this way. After 3 weeks or so I phoned the creditors I hadn't heard back from asking if they were accepting. In my case all except one (Barclays loan) accepted. Some of them reply to CCCS directly so you could ring them to see if they have heard.
Dr J I also haven't stated how much I owe. I really want to but just can't bring myself to see it there in black and white (or pink, purple etc). So for the time being i'm not adding it to my sig.
After saying earlier today that I haven't received statements just got 2 in the post today. Barclaycard and Capital One have both frozen interest and charges provided I continue to pay my agreed amount. :T I feel much better now.
Better go and hang washing out. It's brilliant sunshine here today so washing machine will be working flat out all day.
