Haven't bought anything with that card since well before Christmas, and I destroyed it when I received my DMP agreement from CCCS. What exactly do you think they mean by 'recent'?? Anyway, I've scanned it an emailed a copy to CCCS to see what they say.
Fingers crossed for a 'happy' resolution!!
Don't panic - they did that to me too. I had made transactions about a month or two before so they immediately said no they refuse it.
Then a few weeks later they wrote to say yes we accept it and will stop charges. Then two days later another department said no we haven't heard from CCCS  They don't talk to each otherSo stick with it and when they get actual payments from CCCS they are likely to give in

Thanks for that peace of mind Newlywed. I actually had a reply in my inbox from CCCS this morning (very quick!). They said basically that GE Money will take what they're given!
Hope everyone has a good day

I am only 34 too but wearing my new man out rofl!0 -
Just really sent off my letters to my collectors regarding starting a DMP with CCCS but have been getting calls off Halifax already!
They`ve rung a few times and won`t take no for an answer, anyway my eldest daughter said let me deal with them next time,so the phone rang at 9.00am and my daughter had her laptop next to the phone, she then answered the phone using an Arnold Schwarzenger soundboard off the internet and put it on loudspeaker....I`ve never laughed as much in my life!
Especially as this numbnut said something like Do you really want to default your loan and Arnies voice said STOP WHINING!:rotfl:"Life is short even in its longest days".0 -

Glad to hear it, piece of mind is priceless.
Did anyone catch the news over the weekend about egg cancellling credit cards to existing card holders?
I didn't realise companies once granting you cards could check your credit history, silly me thought it was just on application!0 -
Hi there Rayday,
Hope you are well. I watched a few reports re Egg and I beleive from what I have seen they are reassessing thousands of their creditors, reducing credit limits, putting freeze/holds on those they vue as high risk creditors etc. All do to with this credit crunch thingy. I believe (not that I know for sure if legally) that creditors can view your credit history as my debenhams account sent me a letter once saying 'reviewing your financial circumstances and volume of debt.....' and they reduced my credit limit.
Be interesting to follow this with Egg now, I don't think it will be long before others in the financial industry will follow suit??0
