  • Hello :D

You should be fine paying monthly - my mobile gets paid monthly - had no problems and I am on DMP. I dont think the insurance is really 'credit' as you are just paying monthly up front for that months insurance.
  • DMP review with CCCS
Hi (I've posted separately about this but there seem to be more people on here - can anyone help with this?)

Can anyone tell me what happens when you have a telephone review with CCCS?

Do they ask for you to send in evidence of your pay etc again? I ask because my pay has been higher than it was at the start of the DMP but I haven't let them know (or paid more into the plan) as I have had horrible and unexpected expenses which has drained all my extra money. I also don't really want to pay more to the creditors yet ... that might seem naughty but I want to get used to things.

So, do theya sk for evidence or can I just say income is the same?

Thanks (and please don't tell me off, things are harder than I thought at the moment).

No one is going to tell you off.

I can't help you specifically with CCCS as I am not with them but I can say that I pay the least I can get away with on my DMP, I pretend we have school dinners the lot to pay for because I have spent so many years struggling that now I want to relax a bit and save up so I never have credit cards and loans again.
  • Hi rayday

That's how I feel but even with the extra money we're still really struggling.

I never want another credit card again either - (not that I could for about 10 years anyway!)

Anyone on here know about CCCS?

    Thanks

  • Hi not been on here before so have a quick question. I have received the DMP stuff from CCCS, and have put off sending it back, 'cos I was scared to. Original DMP was for £49 a month which is all I can spare, and will take 6 years 5 months. I now have part time job which brings in an extra £200 per month. Would I be better throwing this at some of the high interest stuff and snowballing, or put it into DMP because at least the interest will stop. Not sure what to do. Ringing CCCS this afternoon when in work but thought I'd ask on here.

Hi spendthrift. When I had my six month review with CCCS they didn't ask for any evidence. Nothing was sent to them at all.

We went through the details and my expenses were slightly increased and my wages slightly less (due to tax) so I told them I didn't want to pay any less to my debts as it had just settled down. So they changed a few bits to make the same amount show left for the DMP.

So all verbal, all on the phone and up to you what you do. ;)

I've just had my review with cccs and they haven't asked for anything from me. I've had my DMP for a few years and they have always just updated the details that they take from me over the phone.

She told me I was too high on some of my outgoings and that the creditors might query it so she juggled the figures and gave me a higher allowance in some of the areas that were low

I know that after my reveiws I feel awful for a week or two because it's a reminder of how hard it was facing up to the situation and then the uncertainty of what action the creditors might start again.

Nobody will tell you off and good luck
  • Hi Newlywed, thanks very much for your response. It has put my mind at rest. Of course I shall want to increase my payments at some point - but as I said I am still struggling so don't want to make it worse in the short term.

I do the same thing, I put stuff down that I don’t use just so I have the money. If I paid my last penny into the DMP I’d have nothing for emergencies or a life.
Luckily with Payplan you don’t need to give evidence of anything and your reviews are done by post or online whenever you like
  • Hi Nomoney - thank you too.
So, do they just go over the budget we already have with them? And then ask what we HAVE been spending etc? Because obviously that will show that we have more money than they think? Should I just say I'm earning a little bit more and spending more? I don't want my payments to go down, just not UP right now.
    Thanks again for your replies!
