Have just been through the debt remedy webthingy with CCCS and am waiting for my letter to arrive from them, the only thing is I`m having second thoughts as now I`m back at work and earning enough to pay my credit cards.
I guess the thought of having companies phoning up mithering about my debts isn`t helpful either as at the moment I don`t get any.
I feel another sleepless night again and as I have to be at work for 5 I`m going to have a nice splitting headache again."Life is short even in its longest days".0 -
HI there!
Its good that theres someone to share it all with then!
I've just got to get all my paperwork sorted now to send back to CCCS. Is your first payment going to CCCS on 1st mar too then??
Li
Hi Li, yep, my first payment is due on the first.
I just want the phonecalls to stop now, they're driving me crazy. There are three companies; RBS, Lowell, and GE Money that just won't stop ringing. I've sent them the DMP notifications, and CCCS should have been in contact with them by now. I also posted token payments to them recently. I really feel at the end of my tether with them. I've written letters to them this morning explaining that I am on a DMP, and I said I contacted CCCS to help me because I wanted to pay them their money. At the bottom I've asked them to communicate via letter only, no more phonecalls; do you think they'll humour me?
Have a pleasant weekend one and all

Hi
I am waiting for my DMP back from CCCS at the moment (getting very stressed i have not heard back yet!). I too added a line on the bottom of the letter i sent to my creditors asking for contact by letter only and so far so good! But its only been two weeks and no payments are outstanding at mo.
As i have already sent my letters to my creditors and when i did no payments were outstanding, i am now wondering if I should send token payments now? If so how would i word a letter to them?Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day, teach him how to fish and you will feed him for a lifetime
Finally dealing with my whopping debt!0 -

Hi everyone... ok deep breath!! I'm a wee bit nervous! After several months of "lurking" I have bit the bullet and phoned cccs. I have received my debt rememdy and contract from cccs about starting a dmp.
Problem is that this month we have half the income we have quoted in our soa to cccs so can't send off paperwork til we have a "proper" pay check! All to do with hubby being self employed and not getting his commision paid grr!
So anyway do you think it will be ok to sit on it for a while or can i send it off asking for it to start in march? cccs have emailed me to remind me they haven't had our paperwork yet after a week.. oops
I just want to get it up and running so I can have a little peace of mind!Keely0 -

Hi Keely,
Welcome to the board!
As regards your question, Limana and I have just set up our DMPs, and our first payment isn't due until 1st March anyway. I think you need to call them and explain - remember, if you hold anything back from them it could jeopardise your DMP.
Peace of mind, here we come, hey?! :jLBM: 14.01.08 - Debt at 25.04.08: £7420.925.06.10: 3200.00 :T I'm over half way there!!! :j

Hi compulsivespender
Yes true, I definately don't want to jeapordise my dmp
I can't wait to just get it underway so I can feel a bit reassured.!!
Will ring them in a bit
Also how do I go about joining this group and getting a number?Keely0 -
ok just rung them and it is all fine. Am sitting here filling out my dmp notification forms now so I can get them sent off... just thought though.. do I address HSBC about my credit card or metroploitan collection?
Every step forward brings another question!!!!!Keely0 -

Every step forward brings another question!!!!!
I'm presuming Metropolitan are a DCA? If so, then I think this means that HSBC have sold the debt to Metropolitan (that is the case with me and Lowell Financial).
However, I am most definitely not an expert, and if you are unsure I'd post it to both! I know that someone will be along soon to confirm for you!
As for getting a number, I don't know! I don't have one yet either!!!LBM: 14.01.08 - Debt at 25.04.08: £7420.925.06.10: 3200.00 :T I'm over half way there!!! :j

Send the OP (can't remember who it is!!) a PM ask them to update the topic with numbers.
But you are in anyway now, no escaping!
I personally with regard to who to write to, write to both and ask if they could clarify who payments should be made too as you don't want any delays.
Always better to look like you are doing your best!0
