compulsivespender79: I got my CCCS welcome pack within a fortnight of talking with one of the advisors.
I've also now received my online password. Being able to manage my debt online is cool, something I couldn't do with the DMC I was with.
Does anyone know who to ask about getting a number for my signature? Thanks

Maybe if you haven't heard it is good news and you are not going to get a standard fob off answer but someone actually dealing with it, you never know!0

well they only got the letter Monday. I have had some 'private number' calls but I don't answer them & no message is ever left.0

Had a review with CCCS on Tuesday evening as I've gone back to work after my Maternity Leave.
Thanks to a pay rise and me finishing paying a former employer back for an overpayment of wages the monthly payment has finally increased which has reduced our DMP down to 6 years!!!!
There's another review in October as DH's motorbike finance finishes which should cut the DMP down to about 4 years!!!!
Hopefully after the October increase I will be finally paying HSBC more than their monthly interest.
Had a call off the HSBC tonight too - wanting more money but also asked me why I went overdrawn in the first place!!!! I hung up the phone when they asked this.

You really sound like you're getting somewhere! I'm quite envious really. I've only just started with CCCS.
I loathe HSBC. I used to have a student account with them back when they were still the Midland Bank. They gave me a £1250 OD, switch card, £250 Visa and £250 Mastercard, great, but they didn't stop me spending! I was never very good at checking balances, so I just kept using the cards, and HSBC didn't stop me - not once did they refuse a payment when I was over my limit. I ended up with a £2000 OD and £1000 across the two CCs! Now I'm not entirely blaming HSBC, of course it was my own fault for being so useless with money, but why did they never refuse the payments???LBM: 14.01.08 - Debt at 25.04.08: £7420.925.06.10: 3200.00 :T I'm over half way there!!! :j

Hi Everyone. Just started my DMP this month via CCCS who have been brilliant. Out of eight creditors, two of them, MBNA and Citi Cards, have refused to stop interest. I wrote to them asking for their understanding and that once my situation improved I would immediately, via CCCS pay more, but, to no avail. Has anyone else been in this situation and do I keep writing to them asking the same? Its early days so perhaps this is just early shots across my bows. Great site ...and I'm learning so much from reading through the exchanges. Have a great weekend...Once it starts !!!0

There's a letter somewhere which basically says, stop charging interest or take me to court. The court generally rules in your favour to stop interest but it's a biggish step to take.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130
