Hi Upsy daisy,
I am yet to be fully on a DMP but you have most def come to the right place. Everyone here is really supportive and will answer all your questions.
I contacted Payplan via the telephone and they arrange appointments to call you back initially to go through all your income and expenditure and now I am waiting for a call next week from my caseworker to I assume go through the next course of action.
I hope you get the help you need xx0 -

Hi everyone.
I have been reading this thread for a while now, but never got round to posting. I went on a DMP with payplan in march and it has run quite smoothly, but I am starting to feel as if I am sticking my head in the sand again. I have been thinking about selling some junk - er I mean some high class goods;) - on ebay. I was wondering if its ok to make the odd overpayment on a DMP or will it cause problems! Sorry if this is a stupid question but I really feel like I need to do something to bring forward my debt free date as I don't want to spend another 10 years living like this.
Trying to give myself a kick up the bum.
Thanks in advance

malvena, it is a good idea to make overpayments I believe but why not ring Payplan and see what they suggest? You would need to tell them anyway I would have thought if you are sending extra. I have found them to be very helpful.0

Morning all,
I would be interested in peoples views or experiences of making overpayments or extra payment too??? I am just pending a call from payplan re setting up a DMP etc and want to know about extra payments. Sometimes I am lucky and parents give me a bit of money now and again, only a few hundred and not regular but I would like to pay it off of my debt if possible.0 -
Moooooorning all!
How are we today?
I am poorly with an ear infection (boo) but over the moon as I've received a letter from Ikano this morning offering me a full refund of all charges applied to my account amounting £192 ... yippee!!Has been a pain doing all the correspondence and so on but it has truly paid off ... now just awaiting a decision from Capital One - argh!

Sortingit - if I was you I would save the money that is given you as you can when you have enough make an offer to settle one creditor for approx 50% or thats roughly where you start negotiations and would be the less complicated way of paying someone off rather than explaining say in May why you had £200 more if you get where I am coming from.
Sorry to hear about your ears but well done on your charges!0 -
Hello,
Rayday - thanks for that. I know it sounds stupid but I am just worried I would get told off or something for having a savings account whilst on a DMP. This is all new to me and I am just trying to get informed as much as possible before it all starts.
Kat - sorry to hear you are poorly. But fantastic news on the refund of charges!
Thanks again everyone for your help and advice - sadly I am really looking forward to my call from Payplan this week. Do I sound mad??
