We could do a swop shop of debts but I have a feeling it will be more like passing a hot potato! ROFL!
  • Perhaps we could do a lucky dip with debts and have a meet up and pull them out of the hat. See who's we get :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Hi

Posted this as a new thread but thought would post on here as well

Can anyone tell me what info Payplan require when you have your 6 month review. I read that they may need bank statements and reciepts etc. Is this so ??. I could probably stretch to the bank statements but would struggle with reciepts for car repairs etc.

I thought it was just a case of ringing and going through your SOA as was done when i first phoned them

    Any help greatly appreciated

  • Glad to hear from you ILGD. Was getting a bit concerned for you. Sounds as if you are feeling a little happier? Sometimes helps to share problems as we do here as you know.

    Hi ym,

when I had a review with payplan I didn't need any documentation at all ... they literally ran through my SOA confirming the figures were all the same and asked if my income had changed ... nothing had so they said they would write to creditors requesting they continue with the same payments for a further 6 months.

    No panic at all :)
  • Thanks for that pinkkat

YM you just did the 2000th post!
  • Hi,

I hope you don't mind me posting here as I am about to embark on the DMP way after a hard year of struggling with over £60,000. I have carried out an online with CCCS (they could not arrange a tel interview for over 2 weeks!) but I also have a telephone intereview booked with Payplan tomorrow evening at 8pm. Basics is I am 400 down to meet all outgoing costs a month and can not rely on overtime etc - I have managed to keep everything up to date until now with a few late payments here and there but honestly I think it is time to face the music and realise that I need help.
Any advice would gratefully be received, I have already been reading through the post however during work time so limited! Thanks in advance and I am sure you will be hearing from me soon as a fellow DMP to be. x
  • Oooooo So I did. Did not notice that. We will need a new home soon :rotfl: :rotfl:

You picked the right place to post lol!

We have several people using both CCCS or Payplan I guess it comes down to who gives you the most confidence.

A DMP is a good idea when you are starting to cut back on "needs" to pay cards and loans then you need to tackle it. A DMP will give you a budget to live on and you cover everything from dental to Christmas, really have to learn to put aside for expenses etc and usually end up with a collection of bank accounts but its all good! Then you divide what you have left to the creditors it definately does make you feel better when its all running.

Make sure you set a good sensible budget you don't want to be caught short because you won't have the cards to fall back on anymore. Also if your bank account is with someone you have a loan or credit card with then apply for a new one so they don't take out any of your money which they are allowed to do - so maybe that is somethign you can do now.

I have probably bombarded you with too much but pop in and ask away anything that is on your mind.
