  • Hi there, I haven't posted in a while and just wanted to say hello again.

I'm in month 4 of my DMP now and about to do my first review.

There have been some questions about Egg. They defaulted me at the end of June and terminated my account at the end of July. My termination letter also said about being transferred to an external DCA. After hearing nothing and starting to worry, I called Egg at the end of August, I was told that this letter was computer generated and because my DMP with CCCS had been accepted, my account was being kept in house. All interest stopped after the account was terminated as well, so that all seems to be sorted now.

Hi TightTone and welcome. You asked about Capital One. They were one of the first companies to accept our DMP and stopped all interest. Although I'm with CCCS, I would imagine Paypal would be similar.

Hello to all the other people just starting their DMP as well. I was really scared when I did mine, but now wish that I'd done it a couple of years ago. Just stick with it and it kinda sorts itself out! I only have a couple of things to get sorted now (Lloyds TSB and MBNA - both want more money!).

    Take care xx

    Hi everyone,
just wondering if I can try and come to some agreement regarding interest/repayments on loans etc without going for a DMP. I've cancelled my debit card (apparantly they can tell if you have) and I'm determined to sort myself out.

You can run your own DMP nip on the National Debthelpline website for template letters you can include what you like in that and make offers of payments you want to so its like a DMP but you are in control in all the letters the words DMP are not used its just asking them to freeze interest and accept lower amounts.

Take a look on there website see what you think and if you want further info just shout!

Good evening all! Due to start our DMP on 1st October and got our first letter today from one of our 14 creditors Co-op accepting our payment arrangement :T but the first payment they say is due on 28/9/07 and monthly on that date thereafter. As we won't be paying CCCS our first payment until 1st October, what do I do about this payment they want on 28/9?

    Thanks for any advice:T

Another thing - the letter from the Co-op accepting our reduced payment does not state whether the interest would be stopped. Is this done automatically?

Sorry to hear that greatdanes! Know how you feel we are a bit downer at the moment. Work is pants one of the young people attacked me last night and its a continuing trend he has and I want to give in work and we have discussed it and I can but have to wait till remortgage is through and of course that is grinding slowly rates change all the time with the financial climet.

Anyway I am gabbling away - hope you can find some way to be more positive or things get more positive or something you know what I mean it does not come accross well written down.

    Take care

Oh on DMP front have two DCA chasing me for one debt now that is fun!

Not sure with the Co-op thats what happened with the companies I dealt with you could always write and ask them to confirm that interest will now be stopped.
