  • It all sounds so familiar ILGD! I too see the OD as "our" money and have spent it all on cr*p that really is no good for me. Then every month I'm £250 down on what I should have.

Don't beat yourself up about it, nobody's perfect least of all me! Look at the bigger picture and the benefits you'll have in the future.

Way I got round this was to open yet another bank account with no overdraft facility and set up a dd from main bank account to other account with the money to live off. So my main bank account has all monies going in and direct debits going out and I accounted for a little extra to pay the overdraft off. So now we are "better" behaved again but you do slip up occasionally - erm like yesterday when I went to cancel sky and accidentally got sky + for £49 and no extra a month - confession over!
  • i at least manged to cancel my sky rayday:) it took about 4 months cause of the mess up but got there in the end

  • Rung Lloyds legal dept today, Scelchi, Mitchell and something. They have not accepted my DMP and are pursuing legal action against me! Contacted CSSC who have told me not to worry about it and wait for the paper work. What would be best? A CCJ or a Charge against my half of the house? Well and truly !!!!sssed off today and I feel like jumping off a cliff but I would probally fall on top of bed of feathers and survive

If you did'nt laugh you would cry!! Anyone got 6 numbers for Saturday! Not having a good 5 months or so! 4 family deaths in space of 3 months, all this Lloyds shiiiteee and Bolton second from bottom of the prem! You would'nt wish it on your worst enemy........well unless you was a Lloyds rep

Bolton, sorry you are having a bad time of it. But what's the worst they can do? They can't take your family, can't take your home (a charge just means if and when you sell it you have to pay them back, doesn't mean you HAVE to sell it).

Forget the bank - it's only money and credit ratings just don't matter. Just keep taking the advice from CCCS and leave whatever will happen to happen. Concentrate on your family and your health.

Life is far more valuable than any amount of money.

I had a letter from legal department at Lloyds threatening that then I read through all my letters and lodged a formal complaint at the way I had been treated and that they were making it harder for me to pay them with all the charges etc, I never heard from the Seciatchi or whatever they are called again it went back to Lloyds with a payment plan agreed.

If you haven't put all your letters from them in order, then read through them make notes of anything they say, like have you had a letter from one dep sayign they would accept etc, take notes of dates and balances on letters and see if there is anything you can moan about - if you kept all your letters I bet you will see something I did when I bullet pointed what each letter said.

But if you can't find anything like newlywed said its only a charge you have your house you intend to pay them back anyway so its just a paperwork exercise the ***** at that company are not worth your worry.
  • Bolton.

Excellent posts from newlywed and ray. It is only money but can't help with Bolton going down this year i'm afraid.

I had a mad moment (Don't know if i can use that word now all our titles have changed :rotfl: ). Applied online for a Capitol One card and they said they needed more details blah'blah. The post arrived this morning and one was from Capitol one saying that i had been accepted for the 'Classic' card. Signed the T/C's and put in the envolope ready to send off. Came on here and read about possibly paying a depostit etc and before LBM i would have just posted off but the agreement has now been shredded and i will not be sending it off now :T

It was this sort of thing that has got me where i am today so i have stayed strong and will not be getting anymore debt. Dont know what i was thinking really asking for it in the first place

    Have a good one

Don't worry about the first places its what you did in the end that counts!
  • Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Just my usual weekly moan! Starting to get very nasty letters from Cahoot re the 9k I owe them. The !!!!!!s are still charging me over £100 a month in interest (Egg have stopped bless them!). Me thinks i'm going to write to them today to ask them to stop otherwise they won't be getting their money back!

    Hope everyone else is ok?¬

If you do write put at the top in bold formal complaint see if they take notice more. It does not help you sort problems out and it looks like they are profiting from your financial problems.

    Good luck!
