DeeDee99, worry not. Default notices are common as muck and are computer generated as is a lot of banks mail to us. You'll be getting offers of loans next. They do seem to be linked to interest being stopped for me too so wait and see. Nothing happens after default notices in my case. It does help sometimes to ring creditors though as it shows them you are willing and trying to pay them something.
To other newbies. Give callers your CCS or Payplan ref. and try not to get involved in any discussions of any length and be calm. Remember they are just doing their job and usually don't know anything about you because most callers don't seem to read up on your record until they are actually talking to you which is a complete pain of course.0 -
Hi.
If you want to have a look at your credit file go to
http://www.annualcreditreport.co.uk/
No card details required although you do have to register. Even shows my defaults (Not that i'm worried) as my rating is shot anyway

Ps . Forgot to say it is also FREE !!!!!!!0 -
ym - i registered with them in Dec 2006 and it's still the same info - so presume they update it once a year
So mine looks all nice whereas I know I've paid for the £2 version and it tells a slightly different story (ie pay arrangements, late payments, missed payment and one default)

think it was deedee asking about selling up to clear the debts.sorry if i got the wrong person:D please make sure that if you pay off your debts and start renting, that the rent is alot less than the mortgage payment.am worried that you have a £92 dmp that you are finding tough to pay, along with your essentials, which to me, forgive me if im being forward, rings alarm bells.is your mortgage really high?just wondering, cos i know sometimes, that renting costs nearly as much as a mortgage.so if the rent is high, wouldnt you still be in the same boat as now, except you have sold your biggest asset???hope you understand what am driving at herehope it all goes well for you.i have 26 years left on mine, paying £69 for 20 grand, approx
