    Hi Newlywed

It certainly does. I wish we'd done it before we did! Hubby and I nearly split because of the rows and worry! CCCS have been fantastic and sleepless  nights are a thing of the past! It's great to see the debt reducing each time the CCCS statement comes through , and we are currently in the process of reclaiming of £2k in charges from Natwest which should also help to reduce the total debt!:D

You have to remember there is postal disruptions with the strike so you may have to wait a tad longer than what others have.

But keep coming in here there are some real good CCCS experts in here that can answer all your questions!

Hi paulal - I think the papers came within the week, so shouldn't be too long to wait unless the post strikes holds it up ;)

I am with CCCS and they have been great.

I stopped all my DD's when I knew what date my DMP was starting and sent token payments of £5 instead.

Have you set up a bank account with a bank you don't owe any money to? This is the first step as if your wages go into a bank you have a debt to, they can take your wages to cover the shortfall in the debt payments

So if you owe your bank any money - change now!!! :D

I would cancel the dd you are telling them that you can't afford the full amounts and sending letters so if look at it common sense if you dont cancel the direct debits they are going to think hang on she just made a full payment!

With regard to your bank account do you have a credit card or loan with the same company? Sorry just clarying because they can take money out your bank account if you have!
