Morning all and what a lovely sunny one it is!!

Toasti: Hope you are feeling better today, keep your chin up, i'm sure when you are ready to tell them your parents will understand and until then you've always got us.

ILGD: Congrats on your 3 stars!!

Jaks: Hello and welcome to the forum.

IDA: HSBC are a pain I closed my a/c with them so they can't try and take the loan but every month they write to me and say you now owe this much if you don't pay we will issue with a default. Then they send me the same letter the next month. I am starting a nice collection of these now.

Scared: Congrats on your little baby girl. It makes me think of when my little girl was that little. She is going to be 2 on the 25th she has got big so quick sob, sob!

I just have to say that I was catching up on everyones posts yeterday and you all make me die with laughter!!

No news really on the DMP front, so nothing to report.

    Take care- Sweety

IDA Im still here I read almost every day and keep up with this thread. I am a very big BIG BROTHER fan so that has been taking alot of my time up resently (sad I know, but free) :rotfl:

    HELLO and WELCOME jaks

Now an update, I have had my 3 month review with CCCs I spoke to a very nice lady, as my hubby is in work now it has gone up from £224 to £590 per month. Originaly it was going to take 7yrs 3 months, if my hubbys job becomes permanant and we can keep up our £590 payments it will take 2yrs 9 months, which would be lovely.
Halifax have started ringing 5 or 6 times a day again  starting at 8.30am until 9pm. because my hubby works funny hours and not always the same hours he is never here to speak to them. I was very upset with them last time they rung and told them you know that he is on a dmp with CCCs so stop calling my number and stop harrassing us if you want to contact him do it in writting only. They have not called since but have sent one of those silly cards making it look like they are going to call at our home on the 16th August, if its not conveniant to call them. Halifax CC have excepted the DMP for 12 months, so this must be the Loan.
Went to the sea-side (Skeg vagas) yesterday my mum has taken all the oldest grand children for 5 days in a caravan. my youngest two 2yrs and 1yr old it was the first time they had been to the sea-side and they loved it on the beach the weather was great. my two oldest 14ys and 13yrs also loved it on the beach, we had a brilliant day will be going again on friday to pick them up (GOD WILLING).

Hope everyone else is well and their DMP's are going well.

    hi all
    hope everyone is okay
I have been enjoying the good weather, well last few days as on 2 weeks break from work now. We obviously can not afford holiday this year with dmp well we could not afford one any year really thats how you get into debt, normally go to butlins (skeg) but even that is soo expensive this year for self catering apartments. We may be going camping however i have not been since about 1980 with girl guides so anything could happen!!!(lol).

Well just paid month 3 on the dmp with cccs, and out of 15 creditors (lloyds we have 5 of these accounts with) about 6 creditors have accepted so far.
I received a statement from m&s today showing no interest or late payment charges. Lloyds have agreed to my loan, cc and loan for 6 months, however they have said no to my hubbys cc with them and overdraft how strange!!!
Barclaycard have said yes to mine and are still charging some interest but transferrred hubby to mercers.
I have received details from egg to say they are sending me to debt collection agency.
Goldfish are still insisting not received details ,yet all other creditors seem to have.
I dont like to speak too soon and say no phone calls as you can be sure they will start again.
Just thought i would say for all those with children i noticed asda has reduced some outdoor games to half price - i got outside snakes and ladders and a type of twister game for £3.48, also blow up football nets were half price too. All picnic plates cups etc seemed to be reduced as well. This was yesterday in our local shop.
Oh and can anyone else advise who does mystery shopping do you advise this on your dmp i have only just started to do this and wondered if you have to inform them. I probably will only earn extra £20 per month if that. We do not get child tax as they overpaid us and i am trying to earn extra to cover that.

    take care all
    bye for now.

    Hi everyone!

    Hope we're all okay.

Interestingly just spoke with CCCS this morning re a few things. One thing I found interesting was that it looks like the loan I had with Sainsbury's Bank has been transferred to Blair(maybe Barker), Oliver and Scott - which you lovely people advised was a DCA. However, when I spoke with CCCS they advised that none of my accounts have been transferred - SO if I input Sainsbury's Bank Loan on the online system - how does that now become Blair, Oliver and Scott without any transfer???????? and I've received no notification from anyone about this so who do I send my token payment to???

On another note received 2 letters from Mint yesterday - both dated the same day!!! First letter thanked me for informing them of CCCS and gave me details of my account and advised that if the account wasn't defaulted it now would be. 2nd letter then stated that if I pay £100 to bring the account back within its limit they wouldn't default me and I might be able to come to some payment arrangement. Now, I can afford the £100 - as I've only sent token payments this month however are they going to default me regardless?? and is it worth sending them anymore???

You're help would be much appreciated....

itsnowtime - knowing Mint - they will likely default you later in any case, once the DMP starts as you will be making reduced payments. A default stays on file for 6 years from the date of default - so the earlier the default the better in my view ;)

Thank you - you're right best default earlier than later! I was just trying to avoid it if I could.

Mint took 3 months into my DMP before they defaulted me and didn't stop interest till after the default ;)

They have never actually acknowledged any letter I sent them about the DMP for my loan and credit card, only issued a default, so you are actually fortunate they are replying!! :D
