    Hiya

How interesting is that - it must be the day for Managed Loans at HSBC! I too have had a call from them today stating that they have received my offer from CCCS and they said they'd only accept it if I looked at a managed loan!!! The majority of my debt is with them:

    Overdraft 1: 1170
    Overdraft 2: 6000
    Credit Card: 11,500
Loan: £15,900ish - although they wont cancel SO and keep taking it from my current account which is already over the limit!

Now I politely explained to the individual that had they have helped me in the first place and not forced me into a corner to contact CCCS I wouldn't be in this situation! Long story but I was not impressed!

I'm not keen on taking a managed loan at all - but was wondering what anyone else thought???

I asked them to go back to CCCS to discuss it with them and thought I would stick to my guns - they helped me get here!
  • itsnowtime don't do it, they add interest at source and your debt will increase straight away! Just have to wait till they default but that seems to take them ages -grrr. All of my debt with them too!!!

  • Morning everyone,

Been a weird week for me. The mysterious phone call has been solve, it being NEXT passing me on to dca called IQOR (formley legal &trade).Everyday they have phone, but recieved a letter from them today informing/threatening what will happen if i don't pay up in full! Have passed all the details to payplan,so i'll wait to see what they have to say.
LLOYDS have passed my debt for my c/c to MHA collections so will have to see wait to see what they have to say.
Tesco have been fantastic, agreeing to our dmp again after reviewing it since April.Wish the other creditors where like them,we owe just as much to Tesco as Lloyds...

    Evening all.

Looks like I've had a bit of success today. Had a phonecall from Cahoot to confirm that they have received the token payment for the loan this month and the account is now on hold until they receive payment from CCCS in September.

Looks like they will be accepting :j - but we'll wait and see!

Thanks for all your support so far - it' really is an invaluable resource for all of us wanting to deal with our debt.

    :T
  • Thanks valleygirl.I wish all my other creditors where easier to deal with like TESCO.We just got to carry on don't we,in the end we will get there i hope lol.

  • It seems as though most people in this thread have done the sensible thing and have CCCS or Payplan for the DMP.

I took advice from a friend in work who said Gemstone where excellent and they have been with them for 2 years so that is who I am now with. I have only been with them a month and so far have no firm decisions after negotiation with my creditors.

Gemstone are charging me £35 a month.

Have I really messed up with this one?!?!
Making the most of what I've got.
I have now realised earning more money won't make me richer but clearing my debts will!!

Hi. I am with CCCS who are free of charge as are Payplan and National Debtline also.

I would not even consider going with a company that you have to pay. By payong £35 to Gemstone you are delaying your debt free day. This is money that couls be used on further reducing your debts. I would maybe call CCCS and talk to them if you could?

    Hope this has been useful:)

Not at all, I'm sure you'd be able to switch to Payplan or CCCS - give them a call they really are there to help! As far as negotiations this takes a while with all of them regardless of who you're with.
