Hiya everyone.!!
Just popping in to say hiya, im still around and do still read the thread.
Now just over 18 months in on our DMP, and everything going great, had one creditor started applying interest again a few weeks ago but a phone call from DMP company and they have stopped it again for 12 more months!
I can now see the ballances dropping and really feel like we are getting somewhere.
Iv dropped from 12 creditors to only 8 in only 18 months so thats not bad going and it means alot of the remaining creditors are receiving more money than they are asking for.
Im still cutting back where ever i can and it has ment we have just returned from a 6 day break on the coast and have had money to do some work in the garden, currently doing the grocery challenge and pin money challange, hope you are all doing ok and for those of you just starting out on your dmp journey good luck and hang in there the first few months are the hardest but it is so worth it.

I took advice from a friend in work who said Gemstone where excellent and they have been with them for 2 years so that is who I am now with. I have only been with them a month and so far have no firm decisions after negotiation with my creditors.
Gemstone are charging me £35 a month.
Have I really messed up with this one?!?!
You can change over to a free one give CCCS or Payplan a ring, creditors don't mind they get more money.0 -
Hi all,
Looks like I might be having another successful day - all quiet on the postal front. However I have received a call today from HFC re my Marbles Loan and that they have only received a token payment this month.
I've informed them re CCCS - they're stating they haven't received any notification (but they did receive my cheque ahem!) However explained the situation and the guy was really helpful and said that its good I'm being pro-active and that they will await further correspondance from CCCS and put the account on hold to stop me getting any further calls.
Looks like that's Cahoot, Marbles willing to undertake DMP - only another 7 creditors to go - and they haven't yet formally accepted the payment offer - so we'll wait and see.0 -

hello, i am new to this board and was wondering if anybody could help me. My mum is thinking of doing a DMP with CCCS but we several questions that we would like to ask. what are the implications of DMP? will she ever be able to re-morgage? How long will it stay on credit file? Thanks in advance.0

You will more than likely get defaults which stay on your credit file for 6 years from the date issued.
If her mortgage history is good she should still get deals but could end up in sub prime. DMP is much kinder to your credit history than an IVA.
Hope that helps if not pop back again!0 -

Don't worry too much, it happens at the start of a DMP. It will all get sorted in the end. In a couple of months you'll be saying where's all the post gone???working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hi all.
Hope everyone is ok.
Still no real news on the DMP front everything plodding along nicely.
The only potential spanner in the works is this. I was very excited that I had won my bank charges back but now A&L have said that they will pay them into my account that is on the DMP. I only have a £250 overdraft with them so this will pay them back and I will still have £700 left over. I need to use this to pay my final bill with EDF which the CCCS know about and I wanted to give my sister £500 as I owe her money again the CCCS know about this.
I have emailed them to ask them if this will be ok and also if the repayment of my OD will be ok as I know they say that this could be seen as favoritism by your other creditors.
There system is currently down for maintenance so I can't see if they have replyed. Has anyone else had any similar experiences?
Thanks in advance for any advice you may give.
Take care:- Sweety:wall: Only Dead Fish Go With The Flow!!!
