  • I have debt with Smile aka Co-Op so I couldn't open one of those, they are mentioned a lot so must be good accounts :(

Im hoping that by getting a normal account with Natwest (where I dont have any connected debts) before I start missing payments, that I will be able to retain features like debit card and cheque book :)

YM, after a slip up like that I would have had to dive back in to get the blimming fish!! Little swine lol.

    hi all
    hope everyone is good.
Just paid month 3 of dmp with cccs. Not many phone calls or letters but they go in stages as you are all aware by now.

Bit fed up as we due to go camping for few days obviously can not afford much of holiday but have booked site for 4 days and guess what (the weather seems to be rain!!!! hubby now saying we are not going until Thursday a day later. I have had to deal with crying upset children wanting to go tommorrow.
I a feeling low at moment i think it is because i have had a weeks holiday from work, week two now and when you slow down everything seems to hit you. The stress of the dmp etc and not having use of any credit cards to fall back on (which i know is a good thing) still getting use to the budget. Hubby said he would stop smoking and seems to be smoking and drinking more.

sorry for the moan but just feeling a bit fed up and just packing some clothes for camping in the hope the rain stops. Had visions of sunny days playing football and having picnics. I dont mind light rain but it says its heavy for tommorrow.
will let you know how we got on.
    take care all

Gosh so much has happened I only popped out to work :o

DMPs are normally I find anyway a lot easier to deal with than that sickening feeling you get everyday checkign your bank with not enough to go round everything. They usually moan, some drag there feet and eventually most give in.
  • That was quick Paulal29.

I signed up using their online forms on Sunday.. still haven't received anything through yet from CCCS. :( I think im a bit anxious.

I was a bit stupid tho, when filling out the online form (debt remedy thing) didn't have the exact balance of my loans.. I called up on Monday to get them, 1 was £100 under what I put down, 1 was £180 over what I put down, and the other was about £820 over what I put down.. Can I change this on the initial forms or is it all pre printed? The monthly payments I put was correct, just the outstanding balance was a bit off..

    Hi and good morning.

WorriedMart. Not with CCCS myself but with Payplan i emailed them when i had the exact totals outstanding. I gave them a rough estimate and let them know later the exact details. Can you let CCCS know or can you alter them when you get the paperwork through. Perhaps someone with CCCS can give you better advice but i would not worry to much.

Checked my bank account today and the evil shroud of temptation has arisen. I have a O/Draft of £150 just in case of emergencys. Have not been into it since i changed banks when i started the DMP and because i am running my account well they are offering me an O/Draft of £2500:eek: . Not being tempted though and it is kind of nice to be offered it.

They will not tempt me as my resolve is strong and it was this sort if thing that got me where i am today.

Nothing else to report and going to crack on with tiling the Kitchen as we are off to Thorpe park tomorrow with entry vouchers from Tesco clubcard. Got the picnic stuff already so a cheap day out.:T

    Take care

I should imagine CCCS are used to the balances differing slightly. I have not seen the paperwork if you can change it do it or if not put a letter or post it in with new balances. It should not change the pro-rata payments too much apart from the £820 one!

    :hello: Hello everyone!

Havent been on here for a long time:o - after talking to you guys I took the big step into starting my DMP and I cant beleive how much of a weight has been lifted from my shoulders!! I am just soooo glad I took your advise and did it!

My first payment with payplan went out last month and I am feeling really good - IN CONTROL:T:j

just one question - what are your experiences with freezing interest? I have had a statement from Natwest and they have charged me double my monthly payplan amount to them and a £12 over limit fee?!!?!  I have spoken to payplan and they have contacted Natwest I am just waiting to hear back...

just wanted to hear your experiences?

Again many thanks - now I am claiming credit card charges and I am going to claim for PPI as well so I am feeling really positive for the first time in years:T all thanks to you :T :A

    worrygirl.

Well done on starting your DMP with Payplan. It took a couple of payments from Payplan before my Creditor's stopped/reduced interest. Not with Nat West so cannot say if it will be the same with them. Hopefully it will.

Once again well done on being in control. Nice feeling isn't it :T
