    Morning all and Rachel :)

Congratulations Amani re the house. That will be a relief it's finally sorted.

I am fine with Clarityn for hayfever. Am taking one tablet a day and having no problems. It is not as bad as it used to be most yrs anyway. This is the first time I have taken it regardless as well. Normally only take a tablet when getting hay fever.

Spoke to Monument yesterday after receiving a final default type letter having spoken to them on the ph. last week when they said they were quite happy to deal with Payplan and didn't need a payment from me. Just goes to show they are not always consistent. They are now telling me to ignore the letter.

Also re Rachel's comments re Morgan Stanley. Think it was her. They were trying to tell me that I shouldn't go with Payplan and should deal with them. This was their collections dept. Very pushy and tried to do Payplan down saying they were basically incompetent or so slow as to be useless. I foolishly paid them a much larger sum of money than was sensible in our situation to stave off int. and ph. calls. They are now one of only two banks who have not confirmed balances with Payplan. I will deal with them differently next time partly because Payplan have now paid all our creditors and so we don't need to pay separately any more. Maybe Payplan could sue them for defamation of character? :)

How do you become a member of this thread by the way? I am scared to put how much we owe as it is slightly more than you guys.

I can't remember who allocated the numbers :o (just checked it was 95Kelly), they are listed in the first post of this thread. If she comes back to the thread then there is usually an update on the numbers.

You don't have to confess how much you owe to join up - mine isn't in my signature.

Sent back my chopped up cards and cheque book today as requested by FD and GE. Feels quite good sending them a pack with little bits of visa card/mastercard in. :p

    Hi, welcome to the thread.

I think that ilovegreatdanes is doing her own DMP. Sure she'll be along later if you need some advice? Sure there are some others too.

I'm with CCCS but I was really terrified just about contacting them. Everyone on here is really nice and helps with questions. I went with CCCS instead of Payplan simply because Payplan wanted me to phone them but CCCS will let you start a DMP via their website, emails and letter. Now, although it's only the first month, one has agreed and temporarily stopped interest, the other has agreed and halved interest. Just one more big one to hear from yet. It's the best thing I could have done (now that the phone calls have stopped ;))

Snap! I just did the CCCS online a few moments ago- i agree i prefer it to payplan as i have my own workings out to go by.

When you recieved your stuff through the post was it in a blank evelope or did it have CCCS written all over it?

Sorry I'm not sure. I think it was a plain envelope with just the return address printed on the back. Don't remember it saying CCCS all over it, but can't be 100% sure ;)

I wasn't too worried about that bit though as I had talked it all through with my OH and we sat down and worked out half the cost of all the bills together before I went through with it all. :o

I do have to say CCCS are really good and I have emailed them a few times. They respond the next day usually.

They did ring me once with a query over an account number and left a message saying to call them, so give them a mobile number if you don't want anyone at home to know about them.

If you do ring them they are really nice. Honestly they have been really good, whichever way you contact them.
