Sorry I haven't been around much, personal problems, typical I am perfectly rational and able with physical problems and other peoples but rubbish at my own!

I hope everyone in here is OK, not being given the run around by the demon lenders!

Hi everyone. Firstly a big groveling apology for not being on here for so long. I've just spent an hour catching up on everyones posts.

Things seemed to have stopped regarding the DMP, I haven't had a letter or phone call in ages. Whether thats a good thing or bad thing I don't know.

I switched energy suppliers thinking that was a very MSE thing to do and managed to save my self about £40 a month. However, I've just had my final bill and I owe just over £300. I have rung EDF and they said they would spread it over three months but that was the best they could do. So I need to tell CCCS about the changes.

I am also up in court next week for my directional hearing for claiming back my bank charges from A&L, and I've given up smoking as of yesterday. So it is a hectic time at the mo.

I hope everyone is doing well. I will try to find the time to be a better member of the DMP club. It's good to catch up with how everyone is doing. Everyone seems so knowledgable now and so strong that any phone calls or letters etc are dealt with without batting an eyelid. We are all a force to be reckoned with!!! Creditors beware!!

    Take care all- Sweety

I keep thinking about changing my electric supplier but it is about £200 in debit, have changed my gas. Think if that is all companies can offer I am better off waiting till it gradually comes down.

Good luck with your hearing - I know nowt about the process but I hope it ends profitablly for you!
  • hi all,
just done all the housework as i know if i get on the comp i lose all track.was so surprised how much work i got done when we were off line the other week with the flood chaos, so i thought, from then on i would have to get the work over with then i could come on with a clear concience(why is that word sooo hard to spell???)
i still dont understand why some of these creditors have to be so awful on the fone.surely they would get a better response and rep!!!if they treated peeps how they would like to be treated.if we all went for bankruptcy instead of trying our best to pay back as much as we can, they wouldnt have a job, ....so there!!!(lol)
thank you to dr jekyll for your lovely, heartfelt comments, which i think everyone feels the same about.to think where we all were a while ago.....scared to death and not knowing what to do.....to now from we can fight our corners with the best of them.
i, too, used to have to rob peter to pay paul, iykwim, and its so frightening to wonder where your next pennys coming from, when you used to be so organised and good with money....then it gets to be a vicious circle.i have alot of debt but its going down .....but it still amazes me how much of the debt would still be interest being put on so i must have saved loads by now, and strangly it feels good to send stuff back and have the wilpower to say no to stuff, where once i wouldnt have thought of the true cost of the credit card and how long it would take me to pay off.
    anyway,am waffling again so ttfn
take care all.....and please everyone ,can you say a prayer to bring back the sun....especially norf of watford. lol
    love ilgd xx

  • Afternoon everyone,

Postie has been very quiet on the DMP front for the last couple of days, say that now and get some tomorrow lol.

Good news for a change payplan are in the process of changing our amounts to extra £25 month due to OH's pay raise.Dealt this will keep our creditors happy, but there you go we can only try.

Myself and hubby wished we knew of PAYPLAN and martin's website earlier, maybe we would'nt have gotten into debt as much or any at all.But there you go,i've made some lovely forum friends to help me when i'm down and to share the good times.Thats all i need , and to win the lottery, lol.
